Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a genealogist and writer, and a retired NASA engineer who spent most of my working life launching rockets from Kennedy Space Center.

I am researching the Matthews family of North Carolina, Georgia and Alabama. I have been studying this family for more than thirty years, and am currently very active in this research. Thomas Matthews, buried in Moore County, NC was my 6th great-grandfather. He was a Revolutionary soldier, and I have established his record with the National Society, Sons of the American Revolution (NSSAR).
Other research surnames are: Jones, Allgood, Sasser, Pope, Varnell, Blount, and Kitchens.

Snow headstone
I went to the cemetery. The picture on the memorial page here is correct. I found no other stone with this name.

RE: Obit for Loren A. Snow
I think I just threw those papers out. They would have been picked up yesterday. I should have a list here somewhere. Or next time I get downtown I can look it up. I do know it was in the Knoxville Journal or Express. I took it from the paper cause Maggie Lock my distant relative married Hiram Snow. If I don't get back to you, remind me again.

RE: russell Wells & Sophronia
You're very welcome. Glad I could help. Thanks for the compliment, Russell's stone was difficult to photograph. It's laying flat (be design) and very dark. Sophronia's stone is a little lighter. Both are showing their age, probably because they are horizontal.

RE: Lincicome
Hi Fuller, Tracked down James' death certificate.

I searched only first name of James, death, Noble Co., Ohio

James is found with last name spelled "Liucienne" in transcript, when you look at the original you can make out the correct spelling.
