The original is from a publication by the State of Kentucky, and as a publication of their state government, is not copyright protected. See:

RE: John C Lamb photo
Ah, geez, not enough coffee this morning!:) These are not my tombstone photos, but another member's. So you would have to contact him for permission on those, if you were to use them.

RE: John C Lamb photo
Oops, I meant to add that I assume you meant HIS personal photo, not the photos of the tombstones. If you intended to use the tombstone photos, that is fine, just credit me with my member name at Thanks.

RE: John C Lamb photo
I believe you should credit the bio book from where I obtained it. The photo would be in public domain now, which is the only reason I added it. However, since I did not personally take the photo, you would need to credit the source where it was printed, and not me. It is from the "1881 History of Sangamon County, Illinois, Inter-state publishing Company, 1881 - Sangamon County (Ill.)" The book is available in most libraries in Springfield. Any questions, let me know.

RE: Permission to use photo
I stole it from somewhere so do NOT use my name when you add it to whatever.

It may well be copyrighted elsewhere.

Absolutely you may use the photos. And thank you for requesting permission. Good luck in your research.
