RE: Find A Grave Memorial# 55330937
Hi Steve,

I spoke with James Donald Hall's brother Tommy Hall at a family reunion this month, and Tommy explained that the tombstone at Elam for Don (as he was called) is a memorial stone only. The long story is that Don was cremated, and his wife was "dithering" over where to bury his ashes. In the meantime Tommy's elderly mother was fretting about there being no stone for her oldest child, so Tommy purchased a marker for Don and had it placed at Elam where their father (and later their mother) was buried.

I've unlinked the memorial for Don at Elam from his parents (since it's a memorial stone only) and requested that the memorial for Don at Emmaus be linked to his parents' memorials. I also added a comment in the bio section to explain that the Elam stone is a memorial stone only.

Thanks for contacting me. I believe she died around 1822-1824 in Newberry, Sc just before husband Anthony Hall in 1826.

Concerning James Donald Hall

Gee, I don't know why a marker is at Emmaus also for him. Let me email his brother Tommy and ask him about it.

Thanks for letting me know.

Steve, I would say, someone sent me an edit, if I put anything other then what is on the stone. I would have put it in the bio. Would you like me to transfer him to you.

Thank you

Hi Steve, I did take the photo for Rufus Wyrick's headstone at Dyer Cemetery on September 27, 2009. I'm not sure why there is another memorial at a different cemetery in Union County or why the headstone photo is being used for it since the memorial is definitely in Dyer Cemetery. I'm interested in knowing how that happened as well. Thanks.

The listing on Find A Grave came from "Footprints 2000" as follows: Wyrick, Rufus, no dates, s/o Hannah Johnson & Jefferson Wyrick. The other info was placed on there as sent to me from a Johnson Family member who requested I add this. I didn't put the pictures on and would agree the stone is from Dyer. Will ask some questions from others and
correct my part as required.

You are welcome. I would be interested in anything you learn on this line. I am always anxious to learn more about the Galyons.

Take Care,
