McBride History
Hello! I believe we are distant cousins! My father was Henry F McBride, son of Fred B McBride. Fred was the son of Fred and Stella McBride from Livermore, Ca. My Great-Great Grandfather was John McBride, wife was Martha Grishom. That's as far as I've gotten; I'm "stuck" on John McBride- can't seem to find any information on him. I would appreciate any information you could give.

It's been quite an adventure finding my family! I'm loving meeting all of my long-lost cousins out there! Hope to hear from you soon!

Heather

RE: George W McBride
Youre welcome, Herbert. McBride is my maiden name and I have a soft spot for anyone else I come across with that name. My grandparents were born and raised in Little Rock. My dad is working on a bio for them. I am just getting interested in researching the family tree. I want to make sure any info I add to their memorials is accurate.

Hi Herbert - You are welcome! Your son's memorial has been transferred. And welcome to Find A Grave!

Indiana has a lot of Find A Grave members roaming around. Before you head out on the road, check online by county to see what cemeteries are already online so you don't duplicate what someone has already done.

You can browse through the Discussion Forums for general info. To participate, it is a separate log-in, but you do not have to sign-up to read what is there. You will have to sift through some of the whining but there is some useful information, particularly when it comes to the do's and don'ts.

FYI-- Find A Grave has members from all walks of life. Most nice, some not so nice. I have a lot of entries which means I am contacted a lot... to the point where I had to put up a set of rules and remove my e-mail address..sigh......Some of the problems I have, come up in the Forums as hot topics.

Take care and good luck with your cemetery searches - Laurel

RE: Jonathan Alexander McBride
Hello Herbert - The correction has been made on your son's memorial. There was no photo request for his marker. I am photo documenting this particular cemetery which is how Jonathan's memorial came to be on this website. The database I am creating will be turned over to the EP Historical Society, Library, UTEP, etc. when I am done. There has always been a lot of attention on Concordia and very little about the families buried at Evergreen Alameda. I also enter the information on this website for the families that no longer live in EP and want to "virtually visit" their loved ones.

I do not know if you became a member today in order to contact me or because you wanted to become a contributing member of the Find A Grave community. The administrators of this website ask that we transfer any memorials of relatives, such as children, when we are asked by another member. If you would like your son's memorial transferred to you, just say the word.

Thank you - Laurel
