|Patti Royall||RE: Richard Harper|
I was wondering if you could send me his application fo my Reuben (b 1792-4), who married Eliza Settles. I am alsop looking for their marriage license. This is establishing a new son for our patriot, Richard Harper. Anything along this line, bible record, marriage certificate or obituary....deeds. probate, wills. This could be for Richard and Reuben. Thank you.

Richard was a Patriot fighting in the Revolutionary War. I am assisting a lady trying to prove that Reuben Harper was his son. John has already been proving but we need a bible, legal document, deed, anything which sets Reuben Harper as the son of Richard Harper and his wife, Nancy Ann Forrest.

On the far right hand side sitting is Leslie Titus, sitting next to Leslie is his mother Betheny Isabel "Belle" (Harper) Titus (daughter of Sarah Elvirah (Brewer) and Pleasant Harper and widow of Earl Everett Titus (son of James Titus founder of Titusville, renamed Kent, Washington) little belong girls in front are Ruth Titus and Titus child that died of meningitis shortly after the photo. I think the little old lady in middle is Pleasants 2nd wife, Nevada Caloma MCann. I found newspaper interviews published 1950, 1960 giving history of "Belles" life. Belle lived to 101 and is buried in Kent. Have research on Leslie, his widow and her children from her previous marriage. Ruth and Belle were entertainers in skits at the Pantages Theater in Tacoma, WA. I met her in 1962 when my Gr. grandmother, Lula Ethel (Johnson) Washburn, rode the train to Seattle and needed us to take her to visit her Aunt Belle. Lula was daughter of Margaret Alice (Harper) and Charles Morrison Johnson. Maude Evangeline (Harper), another sister of Belle and Alice, married 1) Edward Hamilton and was widowed, then she married 2) William Frank Johnson (brother of Charles Morrison Johnson and widower of ? Hamilton - sister of Edward Hamilton - double double in laws). Maude lived beyond 100 years. I have a letter from Mary Jane " Jennie" (Harper) Raymond, another of the sisters. The letter was written after Mr. raymond died of TB and "Jennie" was dying of TB along with her son and a daughter - also dying of TB a few family photos of the Raymond children are included in my collection. Maude lived with the Raymond's after Edward Hamilton died. "Jennie" and her 2 sick teenaged children died around 1910 in California. You may have copies of my photos and newspaper findings and research. My family is completely missing in your posted research.

|Julie Bennett Coleman||Homer Chambers|
Li Ann, I manually added in the information you sent me regarding Homer's birthplace and death place. Since the stone itself lists the date of death as 1927 I'm leaving that as the death date with a note in the biography stating that this contradicts the attached death certificate.

I just freaked out seeing a photo of Nancy Marler.... Who were her parents? I have a photo of a woman named Martha Ann Marler (nee Stewart) and she looks almost exactly like the photo of Nancy. It's crazy.

I would like to invite you to my Facebook Group for Descendants of Abraham Estes.
|Jimmy Davis||Thomas Edwin Patton|
You are the only person who can link Thomas Edwin Patton to his parents since you manage his memorial. Hope this helps.

Unfortunatey I don't have that full story...yet. I am attempting to find out more though. I would really like to be able to "clear" their names with some kind of proof, if I can. I will post to my ancestry files when I have more. My user name on ancestry is dhilton40. It is a public profile so feel free to check in and/or keep me updated. And you can always copy documents and pictures from me whenever you like. Thanks again.

I just wanted to say thank you for all the wonderful pictures and information you have posted for the Patton family. They are my relatives through Samuel Boyd Patton and his daughter Rosanna Jane Patton Musgrove's line. These pictures, obituary copies, etc., have been a great help and blessing to me and my family. Thank you again...and many, many blessings to you and yours!
