My advice to grave visitors it to take some FIRE ANT POISON or bait! I like Amdro because it's easy to use but be careful because it takes a few days to work of course. It's a bait not a contact poison. Would not hurt to have some wasp and hornet spray with you also.

Margaret Whitmon memorial
This is Barry in Birmingham.

I have transferred the memorial of Margaret
Whitmon to you since she was your aunt, your father's sister. Happy to do this for you.
Let me know if I can be of assistance again.

Thanks,
Barry

Boquefala Cem.
Connie,
I came across your name on find a grave after googleing for the Boquefala Cem. It seems the cemetery is not one listed in find a grave. I am trying to locate a picture of one or more of my gg uncles and/or wifes in that area. Most I have located in the Payne Cem., but some are listed as being in the other. I f you have an opportunity and can I am specifically looking for Benjamin Franklin Payne - 1847-1925. Any others would be great! I live in Waco, TX and would be glad to help you out in this area if needed.
Thanks in advance if you are able to help.

Hi Connie, Yes I photographed the headstones at the Palmetto Cemetery. I had gone there to get pictures of Larry gggrandparents. I know he is related to the Simmons family thru his grandmother Lela Simmons Malone. Larry was my first husband, he is buried at White Zion in Pontotoc Co., I am trying to link the family when I get it completed I will be glad to share with you we can link back and forth if you like. I am working on the Malone, Simmons,Cooper and extended families for a family tree, since our boys was young when their Dad passed away. Would love to talk more to you. tupelodixiehoney@yahoo.com you can email me.

RE: Lawrence Simmons
Yes she is buried at Palmetto Cemetery. I have lots more to add. My first husband Larry R. Malone was the grandson of Lela Simmons Malone who is buried at Zion Cemetery in Pontotoc Co. Larry and his parents James and Elizabeth Cooper Malone are buried at Zion or White Zion Presbyterian Cemetery. I have their headstone pictures listed.

RE: Irene Mason
It would be fun to discover we're cousins, but I don't think my Irene Mason is the same as yours. I haven't done much with my own genealogy since getting involved with Find-a-Grave and spending most of my time dealing with other people's genealogy, but I'm pretty sure my Irene Mason never left Alabama.

Irene Mason Simmons
Hi Connie J. Simmons.

I have searched my family tree data base and I can not find a link to Irene Mason or her husband Jesse Lee Simmons. My Mason Family lived in Itawamba Co. MS and then moved to Walker Co. AL. It was so sad that Irene died resulting from child birth and she was so young (about 16).

Best wishes

The Hinds Co. cemetery book I took this information from has a copyright date of 1988. His stone may have been lost or vandalized??
I do appreciate all your efforts.
