I was born Christina Noel Nelson in Centralia, WA in 1965. My parents Nile B. Nelson and Sandra L. Nelson (Sticklin). Owned and operated the "Sticklin" Greenwood Memorial Park cemetery at the time, my grandparents and great grandparents before them beginning in 1918 ... strange to some but the cemetery was home to me. My Great-Great Grandfather L.J. Sticklin was a pioneer who moved to the area in 1890, the Swedish cabinet maker who also made coffins (not uncommon at the time). 6 generations of Sticklin decendents are buried at Greenwood Memorial Park along with many others so I've started a support group on facebook to help with the cemeteries preservation. Volunteer events both past and future along with helpful information is posted online ... a link to this site is on my profile page along with an e-mail.|
This group exists to help family's in finding POSITIVE ways to ensure the care, upkeep and preservation of Greenwood Memorial Park Cemetery.

|Mary Braneff||John F. Braniff|
My husband's family has a family ancestor that we can find no background on. He appeared in Calcasieu Louisina with a wagon train in the 1800's. He either had a heavy accent or a speech impediment as they could not understand his name. They came up with John Franklin ( could have been Francis). They came up with Braniff as a last name. However some months later he married a local lady and the name on the marriage license looks like Briney. We are pretty sure he originated from Ireland but do not know the year or for sure. Could he have any connection to your John Braniff. During the years someone forgot to dot the I and we have changed the spelling to Braneff. Thanks for any info you can give. Thank you for all your contributions to the genealogy world. Also, a big thanks for transferring Frank & Kathleen Gelder to me.
How WONDERFUL! I have those same 2 picture you put on my ggrandmothers site! I would love to know where you found them. It took me several years to learn what Katherine's 1st n middle names were as well as her surname after she remarried. Thank you for putting those pictures up. And THANK YOU for putting her site up. Is the information you added to the site from her obituary. Please get in contact.
