|Rose Klix||RE: Photo Requests|
You are welcome. I appreciate your efforts to post information on the Rose Cemetery.
|Rose Klix||Last transfer request|
Hi, once more,
Sorry, but I found one more in the Rose Cemetery which you are still manager for Rena B. Raymond Webb #23922831. Please transfer her to me as well.
|Rose Klix||Another transfer request|
Thank you for transferring the record to me.
I see you are also manager of my g grandmother Mary Jane (Hocum) Rose #32922629 in the Rose Cemetery. Please transfer her to me. Thank you.
|Rose Klix||Sorry to Bother You|
I'm sorry, but I'm just starting to get the hang of Find-A-Grave. I don't know why I missed that they are already linked.
I was also wanting to link Freeman and Jane in Hillside to Henry Freeman, etc. in the Rose Cemetery.
I know you transferred your administration of Rose Cemetery to Elizabeth Robinson, because I didn't know I should take on this responsibility. Thank you for your efforts on behalf of my family. Looks like you have admin for Freeman and Steve James is for Jane. Would you transfer the one you are on to me? I'll ask the other person to do the same. Then I'll work with them myself.
|Rose Klix||Freeman and Jane Rose|
Could you please link this Hillside Cemetery, Oelrichs, Fall River County, South Dakota couple together on Find-A-Grave? I'm asking you, because you are the one with access.
Freeman Henry Rose's Find-A-Grave #43305115 and Jane (Bailey) Rose #43305100.

I've finally gotten around to work some records on the Rose Cemetery in South Dakota. I have been adding pictures and cemetery records to the ones I don't have access for and sending Elizabeth R corrections since she is now the administrator for those records. I also added in other people who are buried in the cemetery. I talked to Ellen Bishop, the lady here in Rapid City, SD who originally input several of the records earlier. Thank you for your help in this project. I provided you a picture for Clara Rose's headstone. She was my aunt. It's actually a scan of one of the cemetery records. I don't have a picture of here. She never married and didn't have any children.
|Elisabeth R||RE: Passed all to you.|
Thanks for the transfer, Pat. I promise to take very good care of them. I have a big block of time marked out this weekend so that I can work on scanning and adding photos. I hope you will be pleased with the progress.
|Elisabeth R||RE: Rose Cemetery|
No, I've not been able to find anything further back than Henry Freeman and Jane Bailey. It is like there is a brick wall that I keep banging my head against! I know Jane came from England, but I have never even been able to pin down a clear date of birth for either Henry or Jane other than the year 1914. I think Rose Klix was running into this problem as well.
As for the Rose Cemetery, yes, I would like to manage all the memorials, if you are willing. The only changes I would make would be to add some information. I have a copy of the Rose Cemetery record book, so I would like to type that information directly onto the page (including some interesting spelling and punctuation) so that people can get a feel for the people who wrote in the book as well as the people named. There are a couple of name additions - I think I messaged you about them already.
My grandmother loaned me the ancestral photos, so I have been adding them as I get them scanned and then compressed to a reasonable size to fit the page. I always think having a photo of what the person looked like helps us connect. (My mother, for instance, looks a great deal like Mary Jane Holcomb. I'm sure there are others out the who would like to compare such things.)
Other than that, I would like to link parents to their children, and husbands to their wives. You have done a wonderful job getting the vital skeleton details, I would just add some finishing flesh & clothes.
I absolutely respect all the work you have put into this cemetery - I am definitely not out to negate your work in any way! I hope this better explains my intent.
|Elisabeth R||RE: Rose Cemetery|
That's fine if you want to keep them. Would you mind linking the parents to their children to help others when they are researching also? I'd guess you already have all the relationships worked out, but let me know if there are any you are questioning. If I don't know, my grandmother certainly will.
We have also put a tombstone out there for my grandmother's sister who was still-born. I will add her to the cemetery page.

I am starting to figure this out lol been at it all day finding my relatives. Her name is Clara Rose http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSvcid=373335&GRid=54200064& and I have found many other relatives I am related to so excited since I really do not know any one on my dads side of the family nor anything about them really. I noticed your last name is Rose am I related to you as well? Ken Rose is my grandpa and Greg Rose is my dad.
