This man is a veteran of the 153rd Wellington Battalion CEF and fought in the First World War. He suffered wounds and lost one of his legs in the war. I will be honoring this veteran on the 153rd Wellington Website and placing the photo's you sent me on his biography there. Thank you so much for your help.

Thanks Terry for your picture, unfortunately I can't tell if he was a 509PIB, 82nd airborne during the WW2 . I'm pretty certain he is the hero I look after , same name, same Birth year, same rank ... If one day you find his obit could you contact me ?

RE: James M. Croney
I noticed you are from Limestone Co. Alabama. That's where my Croney family were from originally. Small world isn't it. My sister still lives in Forrest City. She probably knew your aunt.
