I am a lifetime resident of California. I currently live in Fallbrook CA. I serve on one of the Memorial Honor Detail Teams at the Riverside National Cemetery. I currently have a "brick wall" documenting my 3rd great grand father Silas Crippen (b. 1779 Alford MA;d. 1841 naples NY)to his father Thomas Crippen (b. 1751 Sharon CT;)|

Cousin David, I will be e-mailing you a URL about a Thomas Hill Crippen that I found a few days ago on findagrave. I took the time to e-mail Barb to learn that Crippen lineage. I don't suppose this will help you with your "brick wall" about a Thomas Crippen in your line. But, who knows? I don't, but I do like to help. Also the manager of Thomas' site has a George Crippen from (?Paw Paw, MI) so I have to look into that, too. I have an extensive list (107) of Crippens in my public Directory, mostly those who have lived in Michigan. I would like to link them up. All help is appreciated!
I tried to e-mail Barbara as per yur suggestion, but "email@example.com" comes back as delivery failure. - Annabelle

David - How very kind of you to offer this imformation - I will follow up with Barbara.
No, I am not related - my husband is & I am trying to get him into the Mayflower Society. They accept only hard evidence, such as birth, marriage or death certificates. Phoebe Crippen married Timothy Mead in 1772 and they moved to Vermont - but possibly on to Canandiagua, NY in 1825. Then possibly on to Farmington, Michigan. They died in 1828(he) & 1829 (she). I'm searching all 3 places & coming up empty so far. -Annabelle

Hi David -
Ever heard of this couple? I am desparately searching for thier burial site - some family trees say "Bennington, Manchester, VT., others Timothy died in 1828say "Canandaigua, Ontario, NY".
(Timothy died in 1828, Phoebe in 1829)
P.S. Does the Google Crippen group have an e-mail address where I might inquire?

Hi, David. I would like to trade some e-mails about the Crippen line with you. My mother was a DIRECT line from Thomas and Frances Crippen, immigrants. I am working on that line. Are you familiar with the Crippen Google group? They are a very large Crippen historical/records/genealogy group.
I am wondering what you meant on Joy's Jabez site about "thanks for the Crippen Y DNA." Is something interesting going on? Mary
