I am retired but keep busy doing volunteer work. I was bitten by the genealogy bug around 1960, but couldn't devote much time to my hobby until I retired in the early '90s. My main focus these days is to find everyone that I am related to. My branch of the Nances came down from Virginia to North Carolina, then spread far and wide from there. I will gladly transfer a memorial to you if you are more closely related to an individual than I am.|

L.D. was my husband's uncle. I was wondering if you knew if his wife was buried recently. We have been told that she died but L.D.'s sisters were not called.
|Cheryl Casey||Hello from Cisco|
I'm Janice Casey's daughter. Just wanted to say hi. I see your name often as I map my way through the Swindle family tree (in Mom's stuff and here online). My favorite thing is the copy of the George Swindle family portrait you sent her. Hope all is well with you and yours. -Cheryl

Hi Bob, I was working from the book Cemetery Records Vol II and added names Mariah, Mattie and Charles Nance to the Goss Family Cemetery in Davidson County, NC. I had added a Allen G, but saw someone else added as Allison Nance. they are all children of Robert Ivey Nance and Martha L. Goss. They are all linked and photo requests have been sent. Hope this helps, respectfully, Jerry Hughes

This is a mistake that is commonly made. The Spring Hill Cemetery located in Titus County is in the SE Corner. Really close to the border of Titus and Morris County. According to cemetery records - the Nances I have listed are buried in Titus County. If you have pictures I would appreciate if you would in put them to Find-A-Grave. Thanks hlc

Thank's Bob Floynell was my Mom's sister. I think the only one alive is Larry Penny in Fayetteville Arkansas.

Checking out my cousins ---all six of Joe Hoover's sons were actually born in Randolph County, NC, which can be seen on the 1880 census. I know Charley's death certificate says he was born in Texas, but he wasn't. Robie, Sam, & L.M. moved to Texas and their parents joined them later.

Thanks for the correction
Have a great day,
Hello BOB, nice to hear from you. Thank you for the NANCE links. Hope all is well down in the fair state of Texas. It's already starting to get hot here in the desert Southwest. Will have to head to the Utah mountains for relief in July.
