Bio and Links
I'm the daughter of Douglas Martin Simonis and Lorraine Schultz Simonis. My Grandparents were Martin F. Simonis and Veronica Thorp Simonis. I am descended from Mathias Simonis who married Mary Hummel, Mathias Simonis who married Mary Ann Kraus...our first ancestor in America, and the rest of the family line is well documented in "The Descendents of Johannes Simonis", by Melanie Simonis father's first cousin.

My father's side also includes Nortons and Thorps. My 3x Great Grandfather was the first settler in Plymouth, Sheboygan county WI. A mural will be painted in his honor by the group "Wall Dogs" this summer, and I've just completed a documentary on the family story.

My mother's side are Schultz and Piotrowski.
All of my families are deeply rooted mainly in Portage county WI.

RE: Wood cemetery
Did Aloys and Lorraine both at same location. F-432. Add Margaret memorial and she picture and my picture of Mathias.

I can't figure out how people pictures what make the tombstones look like spikes. They don't look like that at the cemetery.

I got to back to Wood tomorrow, forgot to take my relative list. :-(. It still sitting in the printer.

RE: Wood cemetery
Search for just 'Wood' and Wisconsin should get 42. Search for 'Wood National' no state and you get 2.

From the Nationwide gravesite locator web page shows 6 Simonis buried at Wood.

Mathias wife is buried with him. You should add her too. I'll photograph them on Sat/Sunday.

DATE OF BIRTH: 02/13/1921
DATE OF DEATH: 12/30/1988
BENEDICT C and MARY age the other two.

I'll send a message to the findagrave administrator to delete the 2nd Wood National Cemetery. I figured out my forum password.

You could just go to Mathias memorial and delete it. The delete is right below the Edit tab.

Sandy Thompson
RE: Thompson
Not at this point. However, I am unable to get further than births around 1879. So, it may be that they connect if I can find more evidence.
