Bio Photo My name is Stacey,I'm 25 years old,I live in a small town called Cana Virginia.I've always been interested in history and my family.I just recently started doing my family tree, and the more I get into the more I love it.I found this website in doing some of my research, and I've found it very helpful in my digging I've been doing.I was excited to become one of their photo volunteers, because this way I can help other people in finding out about their history and finding their loved ones.

Thank you, Stacey, for taking photos of the Simmons family at the New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery. Robert H Simmons and Nannie A Hill Simmons were my great grandparents.

Hawks Cemetery
Hi Stacey,

I notice there are two Hawks cemeteries in the Cana area, one is shown as Cana with 2 burials and the other is in Lambsburg with 15 burials (could have the numbers backwards). I'm fairly familiar with the area (have kin at Chestnut Grove PB Church), but was wondering if these two cemeteries are the same.

Dear Stacey
Stacey, I just wanted to add you as a friend. I can sense your goodness and kindness and it was so great when you photographed the Daniel Rodgers headstone for us. I hope you will think of me as a friend as well.
I live in WV but grew up in Wythe Co Va..most of both my parents kin were from Patrick Co Va...Sheltons and Reynolds were their last names.
Had no idea they were actually about 6th cousins...they would've gotten a kick out of that. I used to love to visit Patrick as a kid. Was fortunate to meet several times my great aunts who lived there. Both my parents liked visiting their elderly kinfolk and decorating graves. So I came by it naturally.

Everyone who volunteers for this cause is a hero in my eyes. Thank you for all you do; your kindness to strangers.
