Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm a midlife, stay at homeschooling Mom of a young son. I am interested in genealogy, fiber crafts, cooking and british comedy.

My family research centers around Texas, Kansas, Pennsylvania, Tennesee, Illinois, Alabama, North & South Carolina and Virgina.

As for photo requests I am currently focusing only on Oak Grove Cemetery in Irving Tx. I have been on hiatus, but will return to this work shortly.

RE: John Andrew Thomas Sr.
Of course ... and with my compliments.

I only created the memorial so that I could complete memorials and link to Seaborn Thomas.

I saw the nice wedding photo which you posted to John Andrew and Florence Thomas in your Ancestry tree ... before you took it private; and, since he is not in the Thomas family photo, I hope you will see your way clear to post it here.

Do you have any other Thomas family group photos?

To Be One... Sorry
Fumble fingers me! I wanted to say that before I asked if you were a Mason, I didn't looke at your profile. I did and saw you're a lady. Silly me!

RE: Tennessee Masons
I am so sorry to take so long to reply. I can Brother Mason is not listed with the Past Grand Master of Tennessee. I couldn't find him on FindaGrave either.

Alas, Lodge records are notoriously sketchy on matters such as membership. While degrees are recorded in minute books, there is rarely a searchable record of the membership.

That is something I am working on in my Lodge. AS it was founded in 1824, I have my work cut out for me.(Having fun, though.)

Are you a Mason yourself? If not, remember:

To Be One Ask One

Happy Graving!

Dicy Griffin
I have more pictures of the Battlecreek Cmemtery. They were done before I had a computer, so they need to be scanned. Have you gone there? That is where Silas Griffin moved with Dicy and their blended family. His first wife Sarah (Eaton) is in the Coffey cemetery Coryell Co TX.

RE: Thank you
Due to finances I have been off the internet and now am trying to catch up on this site. Thank you for the condolences. I really was glad I had some information that is of use to anyone, but especially a relative.

RE: Hostetter Graves
A question before redoing the lot photo - Was David, Jr.'s grave in the far left "front" beside Mrs. Mason, or in the far left "rear" of the lot ?

RE: Hostetter Graves
I'm sorry I labeled the lot photo incorrectly. The cemetery office didn't have the individual space numbers for the burials of lot 6 of Block 65. I'll edit the lot photo and replace with the corrected version.
