Bio Photo PLEASE NOTE: I GIVE MY PERMISSION FOR ANY OF MY PERSONAL PHOTOS ON MY MEMORIALS TO BE USED/SHARED. It is so exciting to find photos of ancestors and their gravestones on find a grave, I have benefited from the generosity of others so many times, and do hope that I, in turn, might be there to help others. Blessings.

My name is Debbie/Deb Biggs. I was born in Ludington, Michigan. My family moved to East Lansing, Michigan, Moscow, Idaho, West Lafayette, Indiana. That is where I met and married my High School sweetheart! He entered the Air Force shortly after high school, and we spent 25 years in some marvelous areas of this beautiful country. We have 3 children and 6 amazing grandchildren.
I have always been interested in our family's history, asking questions as I grew, never tiring of hearing the traditional family stories. It has just been the past few years that I have begun to research and really go past the information that earlier generations had already compiled. I am completely and thoroughly hooked. I dearly love seeing our ancestors 'come to life' right before our eyes as we find new clues to their lives. I joined Find a Grave just recently, due to a couple other members' encouragement---thank you! I am so happy that I have become a member, and am working (albeit slowly) to honor and memorialize many of our ancestors through this site. I am also working to spark an early enthusiasm for family history in our grandchildren. I hope that we can continue to honor our ancestors throughout the generations to come.

RE: Gaffney Photos
You are very welcome. We had a break in the weather it has been in the 40s all week and the snow has all melted.
Both of the Gaffney stones were completely overgrown, I found them by poking around their plots with a screwdriver and removing a piece of sod covering them. (small 4" X 12" stones)
If you would like to add plot numbers to their memorials they are
Walter Gaffney Plot #6-1658-B and
Alice Gaffney Plot #1-1659-B

Happy Hunting...

Isabel 'Young' Glaze
Thank you so much for your correction on the memorial of Isabel. I have made the correction and also added more information. Thank you for all you contribute to Find A Grave. I know that it is a lot of work. I have an extensive genealogy tree and it is very time consuming as I am constantly looking for sources to prove what I post.
Again, Thank you

You'll notice several ancestry member trees say Louisa Ayles Biggs died in 1892. That's the date Mike Ragan said Lemuel J Biggs bought those plots.

Hi Deb. My name is Doug Biggs and I'm looking at the J L Biggs grae site in Oak Hill Cemetery also. I talked with Mike Ragan today and he said that Lemuel J Biggs bought 4 plots in Oak Hill Cemetery. I was originally thinking that Lemuel could be buried there but now I'm thinking it makes more sense that he bought those plots because somebody else died, like maybe his wife Louisa or his daughter Lotta J. So the jury is still out. I tried using your address but it didn't go through. doug

RE: Obituary
Hi Debbie,

It is my pleasure. Glad I could help. :-) Hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving as well! Take care.

Kind regards,

re: Obituary
Hello Debbie,
My name is also Debbie, and you recently forwarded an obit for my cousin, Sandy Popiela. I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to do that! I have just added it to her memorial, and am working on a bit more of a bio for her.
Thank you again, it means a lot!
A Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

RE: Cemetery Photo
You can use it and credit me or not. I'm Dan Geister by the way. I did photograph the whole cemetery. I keep track of any family that has lived at one time or another in Pierce County. I think that family had 5 girls but only one stayed local? not sure. but I got Jershua Streeter who married Alonzo Miller, Orphea Streeter who married George Van Schoonhoven, Helen Streeter who married a Stephen Woodworth, Betsey Streeter who married Thomas Wright and Sarah Streeter who married Francis Smith. If you got the details of these women's lives I'd be curious as to where they even moved to as I have very little information on this family. You don't have to share, but always interested in growing the greater Pierce County family tree.
