Reside in Hampstead, NC; Been s tudent of family history since age 8 (50+ yrs now).
Am a participant in the PHILLIPS DNA PROJECT (Group 19), and sponsor of oldest male in ROGERS/RODGERS DNA PROJECT.
Family historian and history buff for my Carolina families:
My documented paternal line currently is centered in South Carolina, mostly around Lancaster, Kershaw and Chesterfield Counties. Many of the families were living in that area by the time the Revolution was over, if not before. Some of the surnames for these families are:
My paternal grandmother's families connection were centered in Iredell (ROGERS, HUGHES, BEATY), and in Union County (BREVARD, GILLON, McCAIN, MORROW, NISBET, PICKENS, RICHARDSON, RODGERS, STEWART, WALKUP, WHITE, and WYCHE) in NC. Unon County was formed in 1842 from Anson and Meckenburg Counties. Most of these families lived in the Waxhaw Settlement and Old Mecklenburg County.
My documented maternal lines are mainly in North Carolina, center in and around Guilford and Randolph Counties. Many lines are connected to SUMMERS such as BIRD, CAGLE, CHAMNESS, CLARK, GERRINGER, HARTSOE, LOY, SILER, SMITH, and many more.

Would appreciate correspondence with family connections across the country.

You may write the Anthony Cemetery Association, the address is in the cemetery bio. I know of a Joe Baskin, that used to be a carpet layer. Is this the same one?

Sorry, I wish that I could help you more, but a lot of places will not divulge info...I had to go to a specially called meeting, that I had to tell my reasons for wanting to photograph Anthony. The biggest complaint was identity theft. After I explained that after one dies, their name, place of death and social security numbers are published on line so folks can research this info before things are done...

My request was granted...I photographed the cemetery.

I may be able to help you another way, let me know your thoughts and ideas...

Happy taphophiling
