I began researching my family genealogy in 2008 after retiring to care for my beloved mother. I only wish I had begun this search years earlier, for I missed a lot of family information.
Some of the family surnames I research are Elrod, Bramblett, Scruggs, Ensley, Turners, Huffman, Kinsey, Cook, Burnette, Talley, Elkins, Amos, Williams,Smith, Harlan, Harwood, Watts, Payne, Franklin, plus many more.

 | RE: Katherine Coker After Mama & I started talking, we figured out it was you. I know who you are. I loved Josie very much, I went with Mama to see her when I was little. Good to talk to you, and hope you are doing well! Thanks!Added by Tisha on May 10, 2013 7:54 PM | | | P. Bible

 | Julia A. White Wiseman Anxious to find the documentation of Julia Wiseman being the daughter of John White & Nancy Queen and being the mother of two sons (only one is known for certain, Charles Alexander White). Family is desperate to prove whether she is Julia A. daughter of John White or if she was Julia E. per records on birth of her daughter, Minnie Mae White Sneed. OR if she is the daughter of James White & Nancy Reams. Or perhaps the daughter of someone else. In the 1900 census she was listed as Julia L. Wiseman; so Julia A. was in the census records through 1880, Julia E. is the used on the bond concerning her daughter's birth; and she was just Julia with no middle initial in census data with Nancy Reams White. Please contact sherrylucky@yahoo.com with any information regarding the statement on her cemetery memorial. Thank you. | | | Jessa

 | RE: Anna Smith Well, I found her, just like you said, next to her husband, but I guess the reason the office could not find her is because she did not go by "Anna" but rather "Oma". Anyway, we had to clean off her stone a bit as there was mud caked on it pretty good, one edge of the stone has fallen pretty deep into the ground so all the surface dirt has settled on the left side of her stone.Added by Lisa Mac on Aug 18, 2012 11:43 AM | | | Lisa Mac
 | RE: Anna Smith After several requests, I still could not get the office to locate her internment record, so I asked them for the record of her husband, James Leonard Smith, and they did find his. Seems he is buried in Section 8 (Eastlawn) lot 290, Space 3. So, I will go to the cemetery on Saturday morning and find his grave site and see if Anna is there also.Added by Lisa Mac on Aug 15, 2012 3:01 PM | | | Lisa Mac
 | RE: Anna Smith Thanks, that new info may help. I plan to return to the cemetery in a few weeks, so I will request info on the husbands internment record and hopefully will find both.Added by Lisa Mac on Jul 15, 2012 6:36 AM | | | | [View all messages...] |
