Ferdinand Hamilton
Tracy; I went to the Hamilton Cemetery and looked for Ferdinand Hamilton grave. It may very well be there. If it's there it must be marked with just a flat rock sticking in the ground with nothing on it. There are a bunch of those right in the middle of the cemetery. Looks like thats where the cemetery was started.

There are about 10 or 15 Hamilton's buried around those old stones. I will return shortley and take pitctures and add them to the site.

There are quite a few of the Hamilton family members still living around here that I know have family members buried in that cemetery. I also know the Hamilton's were very much connected to the Civil War in this area.

You may want to check records in Jackson County Tennessee for some information on Ferdinand Hamilton. Because Clay County was part of Jackson until 1870 thats when it came into being with Celina as the county seat.

If I can be of futher help just let me know.

Thanks Rush Rich

RE: Elizabeth Thomas McDonald Newsom
I know she was buried in Union Cemetery,Freestone
County, Texas. I have a photo of her husband's tombstone and and may have her's but I can't find my Newsoms. I not sure they are really related to me so I put the photos someplace. I have no information on her except her birth 14 Jun 1845 TN and death 24 Apr 1921 Teague TX..Their sons James Walter,John Allen and Joel Jr, were buried in Union Cemetery. Their son Luelen was buried in Buffalo Cemetery, Buffalo Texas. I have Joels death certificate which says he died at 11.00 pm from carososis of the liver. He must have been a drinker. Hope some of this helps. Ann.

RE: William Mayfield/Thank You
I went through and added all the Mayfield photos I had. I'm sure it's not all the Mayfields in that cemetery but hopefully this will help someone out there.
