My "cousin" and I have been working for many years putting together information regarding the VanCise, VanSice and VanSise familes.|
Almost all of the cemetery information is from obituaries that I have but some will be from death certificates or cemetery indexes.
I will slowly add more people as time permits.
Any person that I post is connected to the above family as a direct relative or by marriage.
If you have information you would like to contribute toward our project, please contact me.
Please, when you make requests for adding parents to children, or children to parents, include specific information such as the names and dates of both instead of just using the one Find A Grave Memorial# to be connected to. Sometimes it difficult for me to figure out who the request is for.

OK!!! I found it again, & now I remember why I recognized the name. The obit says HESS & as I was driving over to the cemetery I started to remember the STORY....I added her as Van Cise because of the interment book, which is what the death cert. will show. So if anyone was looking for her that is probably where they would start, I guess my photo didn't upload, or the link is gone, (had that happen before). So I am going to add the photo to my listing as Van Cise, and the Smith listing but it is already on Marie HESS, which is what the stone reads. I know you are probably more interested in Vernon, again, I am pretty sure it is not marked, but I will go back in a day or two. G

me again, I just remembered something...u r gonna love this....she is already listed by someone else....ugghhhh, family...ok when I was trying to fulfill the photo request last time the name Smith was the "problem, the obit never mentions Van Cise...Mrs. Marie WHYETT Smith, the address is correct, it matches the interment records. So this must have been a second marriage, no children, she died of "surgical shock". I was pretty sure I photographed it...now I am wondering why the photo of the marker is not on there, either one....I think it was red granite....ok now my curiosity has got the best of me...my daughter gets out of school in 1/2 hour, I am gonna go look now, it's just down the street from her school......

Hi, got the photo requests for Van Cise....They are already both listed on here, spelled this way. One by me, I am pretty sure it was a photo request for Vernon that led me to find her. I didn't find a marker, & I spelled it this way because that is how it is written in the interment records, & Vernon was already listed by Emily from the Obit, & it was spelled that way in 09. I will double check again, but I am pretty sure they are not marked. Are you aware of how they died?...So, just a thought if you are not finding it spelled as one word, maybe split it up like we have it here at Fairlawn. I am sure Emily, Vernons listing person, & I will change it if you can provide Proof it is spelled wrong....Give a couple of days to get out there & double check. G ps. I usually put whether there is a marker or not when I list someone...hmmm....I used to leave them on the photo request page to show there was no marker for the next seeker....but someone came along and "claimed" again & then deleted them. It is frustrating because I have had quit a few repeats...wish Ancestry would make a "button" for that.....now I put it on the "leave flowers & a note section"....

All I know is that they are located across the road from each other, and, considered separate cemeteries. Mary
