I now live in Michigan but was born in Walton County, Georgia.
On my maternal side, family names include Burgess, Elder, Michael, Fambrough, Lowe and Maxey - primarily in Walton, Oconee, Clarke, Oglethorpe and Greene Counties in Georgia. The families arrived in America before the Revolution. I have several books covering those families and am happy to do look-ups.
My parvenu paternal side arrived from Ireland in the 1850s and 1860s, settling in Harrison, Hudson County, New Jersey. Surnames include Donnelly, Hughes, McGarrity and Holleran.
I would be happy to help with research in my local area and exchange information about family connections. As most grave sites are in deep snow here in western Michigan November through March, I can be of more help in Spring and Summer.
With a very few exceptions, I am happy to transfer any memorial not of my direct family line. The exceptions are a few very close friends or family members with a special connection.
A message including the word "please" will receive a much better reception.
I owe many thanks to the FindAGrave photo volunteers who have so kindly assisted in the compilation of the history of my family lines.
Happy searching and enjoy the chase! | |

 | C.H. Moore I think I have it all changed for C.H. Moore. I usually check closer than that to be sure I am not entering a duplicate. I also connected him to wife Jennie. Jim | | | Ed Whitehead
 | Whiteheads in Georgia I noticed that you have had transferred to you several Whiteheads in Rays Chapel in Oconee County, GA. As far as I know I am not related to any of those you have. I hope that you asked for teh transfer for a relationship basis. There were two Whitehead "Clans" in The Athens area and I do not know of any intermarriages, but would love to know if you are aware of any. Mt g-g-grandparents are Sandford Whitehead and Elmina Annn Wise.
thank you,

 | Pearl WOOD Sewell Oops! I just found her Alabama death record and it indicates her maiden name was Wood. So, according to Hershel's death record showing his father as John Wood....Pearl must have been a Wood who married another Wood. nglAdded by NGL on Apr 25, 2013 3:38 PM | | | NGL
 | Pearl Sewell See memorial 109498777 for Pearl Mae Sewell. If you want me to transfer it to you, let me know. I don't have her maiden name. nglAdded by NGL on Apr 25, 2013 3:25 PM | | | Dennis Kolb Jr
 | William Hughes Anyone can add pictures to memorials, sure. If this is a relative I can transfer him to you. Just please use the transfer request for him and any others that are related. I would much rather a family member have them, I just created them as a hobby and love passing them to families to care for. | | | NGL
