I have been actively researching the surnames HAGEN, DRYSDALE, MCCLURE, VEST, ROBINSON, & BUNOT in Utah, Wyoming, Indiana, Nebraska, and Iowa.Along the way, I have become interested in helping others locate their ancestors -- and am fascinated by how many stories must be out there waiting to be rediscovered.

Julia Niccum Hagen

I know when and where her mother died, but not the cemetery. Elias and his second wife are together in the Greentown IN Cemetery

Elias and Ellen Niccum had two other daughters that died before their mother and I think Ellen may be buried with them? Still looking.

Serintha & Rhoda Vest
My great-great grandmother late in her life wrote down on a piece of paper that she thought that her aunts Serintha Johnson and Rhoda Angeline Drew, along with Serintha's son Frank Johnson, were all buried in the Burge Cemetery. Unmarked graves? But she also listed her grandparents Vest as being buried there and they are not.

RE: John Vest
The obituary can be accessed online through the Chronicling America collection, i.e. the Historic Oregon Newspapers from the University of Oregon.

Here is a direct link:

The obituary is in column 6.

There is an error in my transcription. The funeral was held on Sunday (not Saturday).

The Vest line is related to my in-laws.

Thank you so much for the photo and information. My great grandmother, Mary Elmina Vest, lived across the street from me and died when I was 13. Her parents were John J. and Mary Frump Vest. You are very much appreciated.
