Wonderful! So glad to get that info on her profile. Helps people who are researching. I just love putting the puzzle pieces together.
|Karen Carter Young||Mary Magdeline Wolfe Groves|
I have sent a link request connecting her to my 2nd great grandfather, Edward Stephen Groves. Today, I received an email from a descendant of Mary, and they, too, believe that Edward Groves was her 2nd husband based on a deed reference in a Quattlebaum family History book.

I noticed that you removed her link from my ancestor's memorial. I am not sure that you are not correct about the link since there is a M. M. who appears as his wife on the 1880 census of my gggrandfather, Edward Stephen Groves. I have been trying to find out who that could be for several years now and Mary's information fits. She was born in the correct year, was born in the state listed on the census, as were both of her parents. My gggrandmother died in 1870, so there is a real possibility that E S Groves was the person listed on the marriage license as E S Graves. Typos are very common on marriage licenses. I have searched for a "E S Graves" in Texas and there is not one that I can find that matches. Since my gggrandfather died before her, the name on her marker could have been listed Graves just because the marriage certificate was listed that way. I am curious - what led you to Edward Stephen Groves memorial?

I noticed that you have attached Mary's memorial to my 2nd Great Grandfather's memorial which I manage. What historical proof do you have that she was married to Edward Stephen Groves? I would be very interested in learning details. Please contact me. Thanks.

I have added the obit and monument for Mr. Smith buried in City Greenwood Cemetery, Parker Co., TX. His wife, Ethel, was not listed on Find A Grave. I have added her along with the picture of the monument. Would you like me to transfer management of Ethel Smith to you?

I'll go back and take a look soon. I hope your Thanksgiving was a treasure.

Grove Hill Cemetery does not provide Findagrave volunteers burial locations to fill requests.
Please contact Grove Hill cemetery and get the burial location for your request: 214-381-7118
There are over 258 photo requests at this cemetery because the office will not provide the volunteers with locations but will provide a location to a family member if you call and ask for it.

I posted a photo for Pierce Finley. The birth year on the marker doesn't match the year on the marker though. By 20 years. If by chance it's the wrong marker, let me know and I'll delete the pic and search again.
Also, he is between a S.B. Finley and a Pinkie Finley. I don't find a memorial for them so I will make one and add their photos as well. If you would like, I will be glad to transfer these other memorials to you.
