Rock Cemetery, Sadorus, Illinois
I noted you have entered many names into Rock Cemetery, Sadorus, Illinois. I have been doing Civil War research and have encountered numerous names of men who reportedly served in that war, but no information can be found to verify the information I have. My basic information is coming from the 1956 "Honor Roll", Champaign County, Illinois; Veterans Administration.

The names I am having trouble with are: Newton Coler, William Coler, John Harvey Mattix and William Rock. The rest I have been able to verify and add information to their memorials. If you have any information, I would be greatly appreciative.

Also note: Samuel C. DeHaven. The 1956 report has him mistakenly a combatant in the Revolutionary War. But I did find that he was a murder victim in 1858. His aggressor was represented by Abraham Lincoln. I sent you a separate message under his memorial. Very interesting.

Hope to hear from you.

Fred Lowman relatives
Hi Gary,

I have an uncle Fred Lowman (91457812) who married Elizabeth M Kruse who is buried in Connersville Indiana. Elizabeth has many family members buried in the Lewis cemetery. I noticed there are lots of Lowmans there as well, but I have no information on family history for Fred Lowman. I was wondering if you might know if there is a connection of My uncle Fred Lowman to any of the Lowmans in Lewis cemetery. I would sure like to get their records all tied correctly together if possible.

Thanks for your help.

Irene G. Earley Lewis
Gary,

I have been going through some historic documents which were handed down in our family.
In these documents I came across a very long and informative obituary of Irene, and her husband Bazel (different spelling than his find a grave listing). This obit talks of them being pioneer families of the long years ago.
It is a precious and wonderful historical family document. I would like to share it with you for her memorial if you would like a copy of it, please let me know.
Thank you,
Phyllis

P.S. I am going to add this to your messages in case you do not get this message via email.
