I live in Olathe, Johnson County, Kansas although I grew up in Springfield, Missouri. I have been an amateur genealogist for over 30 years mostly involving my family lines that settled in southwest Missouri in the 1830's to 1840's. I am a GENWEB county lookup volunteer for records in Greene, Douglas, Christian and Webster counties as I have numerous resources for info and records for those counties. My primary families from the area are SWEARENGIN, BENCH, KERSHNER HARGIS, STEELE, MOSES, BOOKOUT and BROWN. Most of these families came from Tennessee, North Carolina or Virginia as did most settlers in southern Missouri.|

I'm glad I could help. I may have a few more, or could send you higher def pics if you want me to. Just send me your email address.
If you need anything else near that area, let me know. My email is email@example.com.
|Jessica Kershner||Re: Kershner Family Cemetery|
I stopped by the Kershner Family Cemetary today--before I found this site. It's overgrown but many of the stones are still visible. I'd like to add some that I saw today, but that aren't showing on here as pictures. I'll work on it over the next few months.
Additionally though--I was wondering if you might tell me where, in relation to some of the other stones, Lucy and John Hagan's stones were in the 1980s. I'd like to see if I can find them.
Also, can you help me out with Carrie Keene--the paragraph says she was married to Daniel G Kershner as his second wife. She died in 1920 and it says her spouse was Thomas C Keene, who died in 1921. My records indicate Daniel died in 1967. Did Carrie and Daniel divorce then?
I've got an idea. Why don't I give you the whole family?
Do you know of any more in Northern California who have not been linked? I get around the north part of the state and some of Southern Oregon quite a bit and certainly would like to take any missing pix.
Hi again Rich.
I should have looked at all my emails first.. no harm .. I've given you Mabel also so you can link them all together all over California.

I have transferred her to your care. If you would like a photo posted showing the whole family plot let me know. I may do it anyway, the cemetery is within 1/2 mile of my home.
keep on digging... Jerry

I recently went to the property where Kershner cemetery is located, which is posted as "new owners, no river access" and I talked to the care taker there... she said she has been there 10 years and that the cemetery is no longer in existence and no access to anyone. If you have other pictures of the tombstones for this cemetery since you are creating memorials this year... would love to see the cemetery at least continue in virtual existence... or if you have personal connections are able to gain access it would be a great service to all... Thanks so much for the work with Find a Grave. Patty
