Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been doing genealogy research for about 15 years now. My maternal grandfather was the first person that I knew that did such stuff. My interest was caught when my father talked of his grandmother and that no one knew what happened to her or where she was buried. I have a lot of fun at this and greatly enjoy meeting "new" relatives.

I am researching these names:
Chancey - from the Holmes Cty, FL and Samson, AL area
Davis - from the Crossroads community, AL
Gunn - From the Holmes Cty, FL area
Hammond - From the Stockton, AL area

I would be glad to assist with cemetery searches in the Baldwin, Mobile, and Escambia County, Alabama areas.

high pines cemetary
My uncles made it in to the cemetery about 2 weeks ago. Said there is a big oak tree down in the middle covering some of the grave sites. They are trying to make it back soon to try and do some clean up. Looking for the hunting club members to see when they can get in without bothering their hunts...

Florida State Hospital
Hi,

I came across one of your memorials for graveyard #3 at the Florida State Hospital. My great grandfather was an "inmate" there and I understand he died and is buried there. I cannot find out anything about him (parent's name) Can you tell me if there is a way to search grave site for a specific person?

His name was James Joseph O'Donnell he was born in 1883.

Thanks!

Pugg
Hi Laura!
Hi! I am Pugg. Just wanted to say what a wonderful job you did on Leola Smith's memorial. I am currently dropping flowers at that cemetery and find it so sterile. To see a (beautiful) picture and know she was remembered by you really made my day. I cannot imagine what had happened to put her in such a place. Must have been awful. I was just glad to see your page. Carry on! and Cheers! Well Done! Pugg

High Pine Cemetery
I went into High pine about 2 weeks ago. It looks nothing like the picture. I think the picture must be from the 80s. The oak tree across the main part is 2 times as big. I used a GPS unit to find it and was about 50 feet from it before i saw it. It is all grown over with bushes and trees. One big oak tree has falling across the middle part covering a lot of graves. When i got to the cemetery i saw a old dirt road and followed it out to the power line when i came out. About 14 mile from the cemetery to the power line. I'm going back in in a couble of weeks to clean it up a bit. I will take a picture and post it the High Pine page.

Sherline
Chancey
My name is Sherline Chancery. My fathers name was Sherman Weeks Chancery. The true spelling of our family name should be Chancey. I can trace our family back to the 1860's in Clarke Co. Alabama . Do you by any chance have any Chancey's in that area and time period? There is a Lavinia/Luvinia
Chancey listed in the house hold of Jane Chancey
in the 1860 Al. Census.Thanks
