|radams||RE: John Pierce and his son, Albert Pierce|
Unfortunately, when I started researching, I was not the best at documenting sources. I visited a SMALL library in Dandridge (I believe) that we just happened to drive by and found a book that I can not find the information on. I copied the following from that book.
"Although Albert Pierce was born in Sevierville, TN on 27 Jan 1812, he lived in Jefferson County, was married and buried there (died 11 Jul 1893). Famimly Bible recofrds indicate that he was the son of John Pierce, born 15 May 1776. John was the son of James Pearce, Sr., the Revolutionary War Veteran, (born 04 Feb 1755, died 20 Feb 1837) Mary Fain was the daughter of Captain John Finn and his wife Margaret. Mary Fain's brother John Fain, Jr. married Mary Pearce, sister of John Pearce.
Albert married Mahala Davis, daughter of Nicholas Davis and Mary (Hays) Davis about 20 Jun 1832. Mahala was born 05 Mar 1807 and died 06 Mar 1884.
We have very little informaiton about Albert and Mahala. We do know from sparse records of Wesley's Chapel United Methodist Church, near Dandridge, TN tht Albert was one of the founders of that church. He was one of the first people to be buried in the cemetery at Wesley's Chapel. Mahala is also buried there.
Albert and Mahala had at least eight children . . .

I'm sorry, but I can't give you directions, as I've never been there. The photo is by Mary Siler (I got it from the internet). You can't see the attribution unless you click on the photo. Because I didn't create the cemetery or memorial, I can't change them either.
From a distant relative -
"We found him (Thomas and Elizabeth) outside of Williamsburg, Whitley Co., Ky. The gravesite is really the Berry plot. It ís on top of a hill, on private land. I visited with the Librarian at the gen. section of the library." Perhaps the librarian will know the location. I hope you fine it.

The information came from the Genealogy Society of Rockingham & Stokes Counties, NC. I am a member and you might want to consider joining. There are several Volumes of cemetery records for both counties and that is where I obtained my information. I descend from John Wilkins through his son Thomas Wilkins. Thomas is my 4x great grandfather. Are you a direct descendant of John's daughter Nancy Wilkins Vernon?

Thank you for adding the John's photo.
