ABOUT ME: We lived in White Lake, Aurora, SD, USA when I was born. I currently live in Eastern Kansas. I have been doing genealogy since about 1995. My lineage is (as of this writing) 100% German. I believe that some of my family were Palatines and others were part of the large migration of Germans from Russia. Much of my family came through the Great Lakes with some going to Canada and most others going to WI, USA (many in Dane County, WI, USA) and then on to SD, USA, most of them settled in or near the Parkston, Hutchinson, SD, USA area.|
CURRENTLY WORKING ON: The cemeteries and families who settled in the Parkston, Hutchinson, SD, USA and surrounding areas.
GOALS: My goals are to update my family tree and to link as many family members together on Find A Grave as possible.
BLOOD LINES IN MY TREE INCLUDE: Aeiler/Ayler/Eiler, Badré/Badri, Becker, Beilstein, Bourg, Buckholtz, Cremans, Daescher, Dorsfeidts, Endres, Esser, Fischer, Geraths, Gerten, Guelden, Hambloch, Hartmann, Hensel, Hohn, Jung, Kannengiesser, Klein, Koltes, Koth, Kurtenbach, Lachmund, Leder, Leischner, Leoln, Liesch, Linnartz, Lkirchen, Luy, Mick/Mück/Mük, Mueller, Nitska, Pauli, Riethmuller, Scheiffart, Schieder, Schieffers, Schumacher, Sidon, Stockhausen, Weiland, Welters, Wermers, Wiedenfeld, Wirtz & Villmow to name a few.
OTHER WEB SITES: I have a U.S. subscription to, and a public family tree on Ancestry.com (13,300+ people so far) and also occasionally upload my tree to RootsWeb. By the way, RootsWeb gives you the ability to see your family in Ahnentafel format which is visually much easier to read and see how your family is connected!
TRANSFERS: If you would like a Find A Grave Memorial which I manage transferred to you, please let me know by clicking on the "Edit" button for that Memorial and provide your relationship to that individual. If the person is in my tree and not a direct blood relative of yours, I prefer to retain management of the Memorial as it makes it easier for me to make updates and link family members.
EDITS/UPDATES: Please use the "Edit" tab on the memorial rather than post a public message on my Profile page. If you wish to correspond, please utilize my e-mail address on my Profile page.
PHOTOS: PLEASE FEEL FREE TO USE THE PHOTOS I HAVE TAKEN AND UPLOADED! They are for the families of the departed. If you upload a photo to any of the Memorials I manage that contains any information missing from the Memorial, please let me know via the "Edit" button on that Memorial so that I may update the information.
A BIG "Thank You!" to all those willing Find A Grave volunteer members for working with me to accomplish our goals, and happy hunting! Bill M

I transferred his memorial to you. Family should be with family. Thank you for your message.
|Ellen Bishop||You need to send|
your Find A Grave number on the edit of the memorial just that, and ask for transfer and I will do it.
|Remember Them Always||RE: Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery Photos|
You are most welcome! Glad I could help! =)
|Remember Them Always||Blasius|
Please disregard my message about Lorenz/Florence. I see there is another memorial for Florence, so I deleted the photo. Please put in another request for Lorenz, since I obviously did not fulfill your initial request correctly. Sorry about that.
|Remember Them Always||St Peter and Paul Cemetery|
I've fulfilled most of your photo requests for the St Peter and Paul Cemetery in Dimock, SD. Those that were not, I may have overlooked accidentally, so I am leaving them active. You'll want to go through each one to verify information as I saw many were incorrect. For Lorenz Blasius, I posted a headstone photo for Florence Blasius, as I'm guessing that is the correct one. If not, please let me know and I'll remove the photo. Some of the headstones were not clear of grass or sinking into the ground and the photos weren't the best. Since I took 200+ photos yesterday, I didn't have time to clear the headstones of debris. If you prefer, put in another photo request and hopefully someone will be able to do it for you. If I get back that way again, I'll do it myself. Just don't know when/if that will happen. Also, I'll be adding more photos (and possibly, new memorials) for others who had no requests, that I took photos of. Let me know if there is anything else I can do. Thanks!

Bill, Her father is Charles J. Hilgendorf #53028929 and mother Maria Johanna Kohlasheck Hilgendorf # 109806485. They are buried in Ethan Cemetery along with her brother August Charles (Gus). I can give you more sibling info if you're interested.
|DG Bender||Re: Transfers|
It sure would be great if every F.A.G. member would adopt your willingness to transfer memorials to their fellow F.A.G. members. For example Memorial# 75134248 remains as created by "Bill M" but now thanks to Bill's cooperation has become a much more notable memorial linked to nearly a 1,000 kinfolk and growing daily.
There are far too many F.A.G. members that think memorial creation constitutes continual ownership not realizing that cooperation is the key to making their memorial a much more meaningful one and ultimately leading to a genealogical success story in honor of our ancestors.

Thanks very much for your very hard work in getting the photos of the cems in the area. Many are kin to me, but I don't drive and therefore, I don't get to go to many of them. I'd like to use them in my Family Tree Maker, naming you as a courtesy !

Just wanted to let you know that I did find William and his wife Alvina in the Graceland burial records. They are now on Find A Grave and have been linked to their daughter. Thanks for the info!!
