As a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, I'm very interested in finding where CSA Soldier's are buried & restoring their final resting places. It is my goal in life to perserve the soldier's good name & see that he has his rightful place of memory. Also interested in famiy genealogy & have traced roots back as far as 1550 (Hucks) England, 1638 (Horry & Garnier) France & 1700's (Crawford, Edwards, Rabon & others) Ireland & USA. I'm willing to help anyone else looking for their ancestors as well. This is a great place to start looking. Also a great place to "store" family history, pictures (they will let you post 5 pictures for free) & so forth. This site is difficult to navigate at first, but don't give up! It's quite simple once you get the hang of it. Please visit my facebook pages: LOWCOUNTRY SC HISTORY & CONFEDERATE IMAGES group pages. If you would like me to correct an error please contact me, use the edit button. I am also found on facebook as Keith Edwards. Have a blessed day.

 | RE: Photos at Zion Hi Keith I just finished reviewing the pictures I took (my half, Susan is doing the other half) with what was on findagrave. Patti did a good job with Zion Cemetery. I did take pictures at Red Hill Cemetery, about 1 mile east on Pee Dee Road from Zion. There are about 130 pictures, maybe 80 burials. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&CRid=2243631&CScn=red+hill&CScntry=4&CSst=43& I just go thur the pictures and verify the dates and if a photo is posted. Let me know if you would like to do this.
I seem to remember going thru Cool Springs on my way from Rehobeth Methodist Church Cemetery to Aynor last week. My aunt's g-g-grandparents were buried in the Rehobeth Methodist Church Cemetery.

 | RE: Damaris Edwards Frye Hi Keith I am not related to any of the Frye's, sorry. Susan Perhala and I are volunteers with the "Volunteer-Horry County Historic Cemetery Registration Project" We photographed Zion Cemetery last week and will return this coming week to enter each grave into a GPS unit for Horry County's project to recored all graves in Horry County. You are welcome to use any of the photos we have taken. If you want I can send you the photos (we took about 400 photos). My Aunt is related to the McQueens and Pittmans from this area (a little North of 501). Rich Murrells Inlet SC | | | mtnwilson

 | James Davis Edwards Hi Keith, What information do you have that James Davis Edwards might be buried at Grainger Cem. unmarked (wood)? Thanks! | | | Beverly Houdek
 | Henry Roberts Keith,
I received your email on findagrave.com in reference to Henry Roberts buried in Rehobeth Baptist Cemetery, Horry County, SC. This is my 3rd great grandfather. Do you have any information on his first wife Elizabeth Edwards. They were married in 1846 in Wayne Co., NC. Henry Roberts raised my great great grandfather James H. Leonard and his brother George Jasper Leonard (their mother was Susan Roberts - have no information on her).
Thanks, Bev Houdek | | | Diane Baker
