I've been hooked on genealogy for almost 25 years. I come from a large deep-rooted mixed race network of families mainly concentrated in the midwest and the upper south but extending all over the US and Canada.|
When I get a better camera I'll be glad to help with photos in and around Springfield, Illinois.

If you want to claim request for cemetery markers you have every right to do so. Mr. Burkhead has no right making a statement, and I Quote: "There are two people, including myself taking photos currently of Oak Hill Cemetery and all of the grave markers will be posted in due time". By making such a statement he makes it sound like you can not take photos in Oak Hill Cemetery. That simply is not true no one person or group has rights to any one cemetery.

Please remove the picture you posted here from the US Genweb site. It is against the rules of Find-a-Grave to post pictures you did not take yourself or without permission of the photographer, and it could result in the website owners being sued for copyright infringement and that could result in the whole website being taken off the internet. There are two people, including myself taking photos currently of Oak Hill Cemetery and all of the grave markers will be posted in due time. If you want to let the requesters know there is a photo already on the web, reply to the request you receive in the mail and send them a link to the US Genweb website. Thank you.

I need to ask you if you would contact the Cemetery President and ask where David is buried, please.
The book I have (Atchison Co Historical Society Cemetery book) does not list his grave location.
