RE: Well, that's my family, alright
WOW this is really exciting.

I have my grandfather's death certificate showing LA and Gipsie as the parents.

I have a Birth Affidavit from the Department Of The Interior Commission To The Five Civilized Tribes for my grandfather (Edwin B Adair) and it shows LA Adair and Gipsie Callahan Adair parents.

I have a family bible believed to be from Emma (Gipsie) Callahan that states L.A. and Gipsie married Sunday June 29th 1902.

RE: L. A .Adair
Thank you!

I believe that his name was Lewis Alexander Adair.

My great-grandmothers was Emma Price Callahan(AKA Gypsie Callahan Adair)

My grandfather was born in Oklahoma in 1905 and passed away in the early part of 1976.

Let me know if this information is similar to what you have.

Thank You!!

L.A. Adair
You list Farrar Lewis Adair was survived by a brother named Edward Adair. Do you know when Edward was born and could his name have been Edwin? My grand father that I never met was born Edwin B Adair son of L.A. Adair.

Look forward to hearing from you!

RE: Robt. Adair grave
It is possible that I overlooked the grave marker, although I was there specifically looking for Adairs, particularly Robert's parents Benjamin and Elizabeth. I have located the grave of a Robt. L. Adair that I suspect is him; the paper you have from his granddaughter is interesting. If you could please contact me on email,, perhaps we can compare stories and combine information to have a better educated guess as to where he is buried. I can send you a photo of what I do have.

Robt. Adair grave
Can you please confirm that you have seen a marked grave at Stoney Point for Robt. L. Adair? Whilst at the cemetery I unfortunately did not find one. If there is no marker, do you have any evidence of his burial there? That could assist in locating other Adair graves. Thanks.

RE: Adair in Stoney Point
A very interesting cemetery. I will try again when this heat wave moves on out. There was one section that I just did not try to cover.

Adair in Stoney Point
Sorry, I was unable to find any Adair graves at Stoney Point Cemetery. I will be happy to try again once the heat wave moves on. For now, I will unclaim the task and maybe someone else will help out.

RE: King Family
Your welcome, I am currently going through newspapers for the local genealogy society so if there is anymore you would like obits for just let me know. I did look for his wife's and baby's but they didn't have one. Sometimes they and sometimes they don't. Right know I am working on 1934, 1935 & 1936. Good luck on your search.
