Thanks for the memorial #s. I have added them to William. I also added photos of his parents tombstones. I am descended from Simeon (Simon) and Barbara (Knerr) Guss as well, through Jacob and Sarah (Keiter) Guss. If you would like to share info you can contact me at email@example.com

|Red||Irl Fremont Guss|
I just looked at my family tree, Irl's mother shows up as a second cousin 4 times removed. The book mentions that Fae talked to Alta Guss as part of her research when she was in Iowa.

Fae Elaine(Huss)Scott, Fae's husband, Bill, and their daughter, Sandra did alot of research on the Huss family line. They toured Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Iowa talking to relatives for their research. Fae compiled 2 books about the Huss family, "The Christian Huss Family Tree" and "The John Huss Family Tree." Christian and John were brothers. They were born in Pennsylvania. Christian moved to Ohio and John moved to Iowa. I have the Christian Huss book but have not seen the John Huss book. I am trying to update the Christian family line and get a book published within the year. So far, we have over 2500 people and I have not made it halfway through the book.
Thanks for your help. Red

My records show he was born in 1864. The book states Martha died after 1882, but is not specific on the year.

I am related to the Huss family in Iowa, they were gr-aunts, gr-uncles and cousins of mine. A distant cousin of mine wrote the Huss family tree books in the early 70's and I am working on updating it. It's been very helpful to find a great deal of relatives on this website.
