Hi Janet,
Yes she is John David's niece, but since they raised her, she is linked as a daughter. I will make a note on her bio. I just thought the family would be aware of the facts. I did put the information on Martha Evelyn's memorial bio.

I can not find records for her parents since she is living with John and Martha in 1900, but it appears she is most likely the daughter of John's brother Charles G " Charlie and her mother might have been called Jenny.

regards, Rita

Cecilia Marie Schmidt Boyle # 8337259
Janet, I have gone through the Boyle family papers that I have and I believe Marie's middle name was Cecilia instead of being her first name. I have Norman's Certificate of Baptism "Rite of the Roman Catholic Church" and she has very clearly written her name including her surname as "Marie Cecilia Schmidt." I know Marty Boyle's obituary stated differently, but all of the legal and church documents I have indicate "Cecilia" was her middle name.

Cecilia Marie Schmidt Boyle # 8337259
Janet - Marie Boyle was my mother-in-law as I was married to her son Norman until his death in 1988. I have ran across a small newspaper obituary that I would like to have posted, if possible:

Mrs. Marie C. Boyle, 63, of 2401 West 105th, Leawood, died yesterday at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and had lived in this area most of her life. She was a member of the Cure of Ars Catholic Church. She leaves four sons, Lawrence Boyle, Chicago; Clarence Boyle of the home; Norman Boyle, McLouth, Kansas; and Martin Boyle, Shawnee; a brother, Stephen Schmidt and a sister, Mrs. Clara Van Trump, and six grandchildren. Services will be at 10 o'clock Tuesday at the church; burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery. The rosary will be said at 8 o'clock Monday night at the Amos Family Chapel, Shawnee, where friends may call from 7 to 9 o'clock Monday night.

Elizabeth Boyle # 951670757
Janet, I research the Boyle family for my children. Their great-grandmother was Elizabeth Boyle. Please consider the following obituary:

"Atchison Daily Globe," published August 27, 1946, page 8, column 6 - Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Boyle, who died Wednesday at her home in Kansas City, were held Saturday afternoon at Children’s Memorial Lutheran Church in Kansas City. Pallbearers were six nephews, Joe Burnes, Kansas City, Gilbert Handke, Joe Flachsbarth, Charles and Albert Brox and Earl Boyle, all of Atchison. Mrs. Boyle, the daughter of the late Elizabeth and William Flachsbarth was born November 25, 1880, five miles north of Atchison. She resided there until her marriage to Lawrence Boyle, June 20, 1901. They went to housekeeping in Kansas City where Mr. Boyle was an engineer on the Milwaukee. Mr. Boyle’s death occurred three years ago. Mrs. Boyle was a devout member of the Lutheran Church, the Golden Rule Sunshine Club, and the Eastern Star. Surviving are two sons, William and Clarence Boyle, Kansas City; a daughter Mrs. Edward Goult, Houston, Texas, three sisters, Mrs. Frank Brox and Mrs. Conrad Handke, Atchison, and Mrs. Minnie Schwab, Kansas City, two brothers William Flachsbarth, Atchison and Henry Flachsbarth, Sacramento, California; two half-brothers, Mike Henninger, Denver, Colorado, and Fred Henninger, Atchison, and four grandchildren.

Thanks for the information on the duplicate memorial. I have transferred by edit request the extra information, which I had found. I also linked his first wife. I suspect Sallie is buried next to him on the left in the "unmarked grave". I do have information on her burial in Rosemere.

I generally check for duplicates before listing memorials; however, this could be one done very late at night and it slipped through the cracks. So thanks again. If you see additional attention needed to these memorials, let me know.

RE: Chester William Davis 159607301
EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT! I have added both Chester & Helen to my Restland list that I've recently compiled. Once the kiddos are back in school (mid August), I plan to make a trip(s) to the cemetery to find and photograph. It's very possible that since these memorials both have the plots/locations added to them, someone else might locate these final resting places before I do. If that's the case, that would be awesome as well.
By the way, looking at both Davis memorials, I noticed what you had noted on both: "Additions and corrections are rejoiced over". I LOVE the humbleness of that statement. That is what genealogy is about... getting the info as correct as we possibly can.
Have a great weekend! And, thanks much for adding the burial plots.

RE: Dora M LEWIS Garvin 77582004
Hi Janet,

I went back and looked for a spouse today but didn't have any luck. So I went to the office and they were able to give me a little more information. Dora died in Las Vegas, Nevada May 5, 1957 at 66 years old and was buried May 9th in Laramie. I don't know if this helps at all. I can also send you all the pictures I took that were in the same plot. There was a Jed L. Spencer 1911-1964, Dorothy Matthews, Ida A Lewis 1872-1954 and a Orval H Lewis 1866-1935. Let me know!

Thank you for that information. I have been doing this for four years and no one has ever told me that. I use to take a pic of the site and post it and asked the requester if they wanted to keep it or not...most of them didn't want it. I will do that for this baby's grave and post it. Thank you.
