Born in Springfield, Missouri on Nov. 22, 1934. Have lived in this vacinity all my life and have compiled rather extensive records about my early family and information such as their birth/death dates and where buried. Can trace part of my famly back for 300 years. My full name is William Daniel Rich Jr. if that is of interest to anyone. I was in Army Jan. 1955-Jan 1958. I am very interested in the geneology of my family, half of whom immigrated from Germany just before Civil War.|

I couldn't get the photo due to the tent set up at the grave. I will wait until Ron's death date has been engraved before I do a new photo. Please place yours if you like and make sure your photo credits are attached. Thanks!

I would love to use your photo given you the photo credit if that is okay. If not, I will be at Ron's funeral tomorrow and I can grab one then. Thanks for your help.

I'm going to email Mable's daughter and ask the date of her death so you can add it. I attended the funeral in Springfield about 18 mos ago but can't remember the date.
For years Millard and Mable lived on Cherokee St across from St John's in a house that is now added on to and a floral shop. That was during my childhood. They later built a house near Bass Pro.
Mable and my grandmother were double cousins (like she and Herbert, of course) and they even looked alike with the same silver hair in later years. She was a wonderul woman!

Thanks so much. I'm going to go though some boxes and find the obituaries of their deaths and post info. I wasn't born yet when they died, was born later in the year. Bless you!

Yes, I will try sending the letter.. What is the zip code?? I have found lately that if I find museums in the county.. that they are great to find info for me.. I have a distant cousin that traveled in the USA & beyond.. They even visited me once... I had a sweet lady that I met through findagrave that e-mailed a manuscript that he wrote.. It was loaded with information abt. my father's families....
I cannot visit all these places but, would love to... Thanks for you info..
|Loretta Neal||RE: Anne Jones|
I would love to come find where my ancestors lived.. I have them from there on both sides of my family. I don't know why they left Missouri but, think it might have been after the Civil War...
I live in West Texas they were at least smart enough to settle in East Texas.. My Grandfather headed west...and, he was a very smart man.
Finding ancestors is really a challenge . How could I find out abt. Anne & J.H. Jones since it was prior to death certificates.. I guess there was a Turnback community.. It is on both of their 1870 & 1880 census.... Is there a book on Lawrence County that would go back that far in history??

It posted before I had left message...
Anne Jones @ Rock Praire Cemetery in Haltown, Missouri, Lawrence County..
I have a James H.(Jim) Jones that was my grandfather's great grandfather.. His wife was Anne Roades or Rhodes Jones .. She died 1883 in Lawrence Co., Missouri.. And, was born in 1818. It is just info from other trees on ancestry.com.
Since it as on the stone that she was the wife of J.H. Jones I believe it might be my grandfathers great grandmother.. On the 1870 & 1880 Census they are in Turnback, Lawrence, Missouri.. I have that James H. Jones died at Mt Vernon, Lawrence, Missouri...
I thought maybe you might have further info. Are these towns close to Halltown, Missouri?
Thanks for any info you can give me..
