RE: Hewett cemetery

You are welcome -- and "thanks" for your kind words..... it's always nice to know I'm appreciated.

God Bless You, and may you have a "Happy & Healthy New Year"!

RE: Hewett Cemetery

I'm sorry but I have no directions to the cemetery, as the memorials were created from a burial listing I obtained.

I don't live in Alabama and the listing did not have a location, other than Tuscaloosa Co., AL

RE: Edmond Suggs Smith
I went back and checked on this. There is a one world tree on ancestry that shows all this information. It shows several family trees that were combined to authenticate the information.

BUT they can be wrong. I went to the census records that I found and they had him from 1850 thru 1910 on the Sevier Co. census records.

BUT I could be wrong. It could be the wrong Edmond S. Smith. Some have Edmond, some have Edmond S.

I looked up Samuel Karr Smith & Mary Shaw. They have a son (According to another one world tree)Edward J. also born in 1931 also in Tennessee.

Do you do ancestry? Anyway, if you would like me to print some of this for you, I will, email it to you and let you decide for yourself.

Sorry I could not find Thelma. What is her husband's name? Maybe her grave is not marked. I remember her name as a customer of my dads.

gate is locked
I went to take your photos but there is a locked gate across road. I checked Google Earth to see the actual spot and it is the one I went to. Only thing stopping me is gate. Let me know when it will be open and I will return.

RE: James W. Nichols
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. However, I have his death certificate and it shows 3/8/1958 as his death death. I tried to post the dc but they say is too big. His daughter, Margurite also signed the dc,I feel like this would be more correct and that is why I used it, instead of what was on the tombstone..someone made a mistake.
Thank you!

RE: picture
You are quite welcome. The location of the cemetery (Nance Springs Cemetery) is situate across the road from a major Civil War Battle (The Battle of Resaca). The cemetery lies on a hill to the side and behind a small industrial plant and has been badly vandalized and from the looks of it has no caretaker. There are lots of damaged headstones, with others toppled and turned around. It was sad for me to see this, since it reflects badly on this community. Anyway, I'm happy to have helped you in remembrance of your loved one.

RE: find a Grave I have added your name to cover sheet
If you are requesting memorials from me it is fine if you just send me a message like you are doing now with the names and memorial #'s that you are intrested in I have your File # this is the number that is by your name on your contibutor page always include this number to the person you are requesting from. The memorial # is at the bottom of every persons page listed on find a grave.

If you can not find your family member on find a grave then that person has not been added. As a cotributor on find a grave go to the cemetery that person is on add a name to this cemetery on the top right hand corner of that cemeteries cover sheet.Fill in the name of the person and any other information desired.Personally I just fill in the name go to the bottom and skip to page 2 which created the page then I go back to the page and fill in information.Very Easy.

If you are requesting a page from somebody besides me.It is best to use this method makes it easy on everybody and more people will answer your request with this method:
Go to the page you want management of and go to the top of the page right hand corner where there is a white tab that is labeled EDIT
next page opens click first line that says suggest a correction or provide additional information
next page opens write why you are requesting a transfer and leave your file number click send this message.

I do not know if you work a public job or anything about you.So just request the pages that you have time to work on and commit time to.Then request more when you are finished with those. If you do not work then you may know already that you have time to work on lots of pages.

I added information on a Evans in Schlobohm cemetery a couple days ago.I thought about you and wondered if this is your family member. As a family member you could add more detailed family information than I could. Darla
