I have always enjoyed walking cemeteries and reading headstones. Some of my fondest memories are visiting my family cemeteries with my Grandma and listening to family stories.
My family members tell me to leave those dead people alone. I just laugh and tell them it is not the deceased people I worry about it's the living. I have 16 Ancestors laid to rest in the Antioch Cemetery in Hartshorn, Texas, Misssouri and believe others may be there also. I have not found records or headstones for these family members. My family interests are Barlet,Black, Cole, Counts, Dye, Graham, Huskey, Hensley, Keith, Kendrick, Morgan, Shaw, Springer, Stringer, Sullivan and related families in Texas, Dent, Jefferson, Shannon, Iron, Washington, Franklin and Reynolds counties of Missouri.
I lived in Idaho for many years. I met many wonderful people who I call my Idaho family. You may find their memorials here.
I am always open to making changes or corrections on memorials I have created.

Hi Henrietta, sorry about the first messeage. One of my cats stepped on my keyboard. As I was saying. I remember Aunt Lissie. I remember taking Mom to see Aunt Lissie a couple of times when we went down there after I got married. I should have a picture or two of Mom and Aunt Lissie somewhere. If you would like for me to I'd like to give you a call sometime. Just email me you phone number. Do you live in Licking or Houston? Grandma is buried in Buckner Hill Cemetery in Buckner, Missouri. Buckner is about 15 or 20 minutes for Kansas City. Grandma and my baby sister died just a couple of months apart. Both are buried at Buckner. And they do not have a headstone. But there is a Memorial slap out there with Grandma Willis and Linda Lou's names on it. I tried to get a picture of it the last time I was out there but it didn't come out. I'll try to get a better one the next time I go. My cell phone number is 816-655-9799 of you would like to text me sometime. Have a fun and safe 4th of July. Take care. Hugs. Your Cousin, Dianne

You took a photo of Caroline Elizabeth Bain's tombstone. I can not make out the married name on her tombstone. What is her married name on the tombstone?

Caroline Elizabeth Bain first married George Norris. Who was George Norris' parents?

Hi Henri, I left some pictures on your page. Hope you don't mind. If you don't want them on there let me know. I thought you might like to save copies of them. Thank you for making a Memorial page for Dorothy. I will try to find the pictures of her parents and post them, if you want. You did a great job recording her family. Thank you so much. I miss her so. Love you always, Kaycie

coles in Franklin County
Hi, Henrietta!

I'm wondering if you've ever heard anything about a Franklin County burial of someone apparently related to Susan Angeline, wife of William Newton Jasper. The burial would have been at New Friendship Cemetery (where Jacob and Emma are buried, among others). If you've not been to this cemetery, it has a "short wall" of concrete and stone around it. This burial is supposedly outside the wall, in line with the row in which Jacob, Emma, Elsie Mae and Lillie are buried.

Frankly, I didn't believe it until I went there last weekend. I walked down that row towards the wall and as I approached it, I found a bunch of iris blooming, just a short distance from the wall. There weren't any other flowers anywhere else outside that wall.

If you're unaware, my grandmother, Ethel, was known for iris and the story I heard is that she planted these there to honor whoever is buried there.

I've been checking all the sources I can find--the historical society, the cemetery society, all the relatives left breathing!, and I can't find anyone who knows about least not yet!

One person said it was Susan, herself, but we know she's at Boeuff, so that can't be right! (Surely they wouldn't have buried her here and erected her stone there!)

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Find A Grave
I am wondering if you are like a lot of people on Find A Grave who are not aware of the new EDIT Tab on your contributor page, Find A Grave has not told anyone, but when someone sends you a correction or addition you no longer automatically receive an E Mail notification, but under your edit tab it will show you how many edits you have been sent by clicking on the tab you can view the edits and either accept them or decline them.
Hope this makes sense. Find A Grave is supposed to send out a message, but hasn't yet.
