I have transferred JT Pendergrass to you.
Yes we cleaned the stones off a little bit & then used shaving cream (a fantastic trick) on it to make the engraving more legible.

We made another trip down to Clarkton over Labor day & once again walked Oak Grove Cemetery...I found J T Pendergrass. I have created a memorial for him & if you like, I can transfer it to you.

I don't recall seeing another name on Sarah's headstone; however, it was several years ago. I know that at the time there was workers trimming/cutting down tress when we were there so we didn't spend too much time at the cemetery.

I am distantly related to Alma Dowdy. My great-great grandfather was Joel Wesley Dowdy, who was the father of my great-grandfather, Henry Franklin Dowdy, Sr. amd also the father of Alice Mary Ann Dowdy, who was the mother of Elvis Hill, who married Irene Pendergrass, mother of the Pendergrass who married Alma A Dowdy Hill. Alice also had a daughter, whose name was Alma.
