Hi Hi, regarding your June email for Etheldred Allen, please by all means upload the original headstones or any photos you would like to upload. It would be very much appreciated. I will look forward to hearing from you. I was unable to email you so am having to post here. Thanks!
Nancy Newman My great grandmother was Nancy Jane Chapman Newman from Putnam Co., GA (1845-1923). She died in Eatonton, GA and I have searched long and hard for her grave, but cannot find it. She was married to William P. Newman, who died in Baldwin Co., GA. I wonder if this could possibly be her? Perhaps she had siblings that lived in New Mexico. ??? Thanks for any help you might be able to give.
RE: Nancy C Unknown Newman What I came across was two listings for her at Hillcrest not one at Hillcrest and another in Arkansas. It is a little strange in that the two at Hillcrest have different tombstones. It appears that one must have been the original from when she was buried and then another more recent tombstone was placed in her daughter's plot. It seems that these two memorials should be merged, showing both tombstones on one memorial.
Correction. In your reply. Typo. I meant to type brother not sister. Thank you for the correction. Etheldred Allen's brother James Allen's wife Sarah Morgan is my ggreat aunt. I'm related to the Morgan line not Allen. Thanks.
George Newman I blew up George Newman's photo on Photo Shop and it definitely reads 1852. However, I do think the "G" should be a "C" for Nancy. Those letters are really similar. They both share this same stone. Maybe since it only gives her birth date that means she had died somewhere else like New Mexico. Sometimes the dates don't even match what you will find as a record in a funeral home. Thanks for your kind words. As a matter of fact, I will go ahead and transfer them both to you, so you can correct or add more.
Linking memorials Ann, Thanks for the reply. Linking people is really a simple process. First make a note of memorial numbers of those people you wish to link. Then go to the memorial for these individuals. On the memorial you will see a "Family Links" button. Click on this and a window will open which allows you to enter the numbers in the proper place to record them as "Spouse", "Parent" etc. Hope this helps, have a great day. Don
