Just to make this all more confusing, Chitty is actually on Day road, and is a completely different cemetery than Wolf Creek/Palestine which is on the corner of Day and Wolf Creek Road. Looks like a bunch of memorials need to be moved to the correct cemetery now. I checked them both out, and I think we can get everyone listed in the right cemetery. Basically there's just a whole bunch listed in Chitty that need to be moved to Wolf Creek. Thanks for your help. :)
I just re-read my message from yesterday--didn't mean to point a finger at Jennifer, I don't think she created the Chitty cemetery. It's obviously confusing when they are known by so many different names. Sorry Jennifer! (Jacque, could you delete these two messages please?)

I got your photos today, but it seems Jennifer Race has made a duplicate cemetery and named it Chitty Cemetery. The sign at the cemetery says "Wolf Creek cemetery". I don't think any memorials are duplicated though so when the cemeteries are merged here on the website it should all work out fine. :) There will also need to be another cemetery "Palestine" created as an AKA for both Chitty and Wolf Creek. How can such a tiny cemetery have three names, lol?! I will go post your photos now. There are many unmarked field stones there, particularly around some of the Rushing memorials (not the ones you requested).

I just happened to drive by there yesterday and was checking to see if it needed photos when I came across your message looking for directions. It's at the intersection of Day road and Wolf Creek Road which is just a little south of Grassy Road. There is a church on the Day road side (to the east) and the cemetery is on the opposite side (west side) on Wolf creek road down a short driveway. I'm headed back there to take more photos in the next day or so, if you have any requests, please add them ASAP. :) If you can't find this on the map I can give you more precise driving locations before you visit.

We stopped at the wildlife refuge office who showed us a map and on the map it listed the cemetery as "Chitty Cemetery" which I am now told is another cemetery. I could not tell you how we found it but they may be able at their office to help you find it.

My pleasure. It was a beautiful day here in East Tennessee, just perfect for walking a cemetery!

No problem with the pictures, I have many pictures from Oaklawn that are yet to be posted. I actually have the other 2 William Howard photos, but they did not turn out well. I'm planning to go to Oaklawn this weekend anyway, I'll take new pictures, the weather should be nice and sunny for better pics.
