RE: Re: Porterfield
I just accepted your edit for Josiah to William Porterfield. The info I have is that Martha Alexander (1715-1789) was the wife of William, and William's father was John Porterfield. No known name of John's wife.

RE: Sarah Emerson Marshall Hays
Yes my grandmother had a Bible that showed this information, but didn't show the connections. I have notes from that Bible, but my cousin who lives in Michigan has the Bible. I may ask at some point that he send it to me and see again what it said. My grandmother wanted me to keep the Bible, but I felt it belong in the Hayes family. Dumb, because he had no children and that line ends with him.

RE: Edit Request - William (B.R.) Hays
I'm still trying to figure this out.

Did you give me a marriage date of Eliz Ann Kemp & Robert Nickell of 1844?

My records show William & Eliz Ann Kemp having four children
1 Mary Etna Hays born 1844 Find A Grave#5000024271
2 Thomas K. Hays born 1845 Find A Grave #86733173
(I have written history that Thomas K was a son of William, but doesn't give the mothers name
3 George Hays born about 1847
4 Martha A. Hays born 1856 Find A Grave #29567060
( I have nothing in writing about Martha except that she Married a Saylor. When I look at her Find A Grave site it shows her parents as William Hays and Elizabeth Kemp per 1925 census)

I see there is a George Nickell which may be the one I have born 1846.

Marriage date for William & Sarah Emerson was 1860.

RE: Edit Request - William (B.R.) Hays
Her parents fit so it must be right.
Good to know more about her. My information on the Hays side has just been patched together.
The stone for Anne Kemp in Auberry Grove must just be a rememberance stone

RE: James Owen Miller Re: Syndey Jane Nickell Drummond Miller
Hi Candice, I don't think Sidney is the same person that married James Miller. She would be 22 years older than James and would have been dead 10 years before they married. Stay in touch. I will dig a little deeper. Thank for the note. Your friend in Texas, Bob Miller

RE: Correction on Name
Changed the name on John Tucker's Memorial to how I believe it is engraved on his Monument.
Don't know why I didn't get and post a pic of it when I was over at Brackett Cem last year as I got almost ALL the Tucker family that was buried there.

RE: Photo Request
Candice, that is so nice of you but someone already looked and said his grave is not there. They did mention a second cemetery near it but I don't see it listed there either. He actually lived near Hepler Kansas so I thought it was a bit unusual that he'd be buried in Hesper.

Thank-you for your offer. Stay cool.
