Are you family to her? I went to the cemetery a couple of weeks ago and the stone is the same as posted on the memorial. I had some information added for her except where she was born. She was born in Comanche Co, TX. So you may want to delete your photo request because she died in 1975, so I'm saying the death date will never be put on the stone. As for as I know they had four children and two of them are buried in Rochester. Hope this helps. Thank you very much.

|Bob King||Sarah Tibbetts stone|
I walked the Bowen Prairie Cemetery pretty carefully this Sunday, and could not find Sarah Tibbetts's stone.
There are many badly weathered and unreadable stones piled up around a tree, and I suspect Sarah's stone may be in that group.
The stones they were using at that time are quite soft and weather badly.
I am sorry.

We went to the cemetery yesterday. The stone still has no date on death on it. I have sent a death date to the contributor, so he should be putting a death date on her memorial. There is probably no one to have the death date put on her stone. Hope this helps.

Tough question. The tombstone is near the imaginary line dividing the two sections. Next Monday, I will look at cemetery records and see if I can find an obit too.

No problem. I added a photo of the area and added a note about the unmarked graves in hopes that someone else might find it helpful. Good luck on finding the Charles you are looking for!

|BjJ||Charles Young Photo Request|
Hi - regarding your photo request for Charles who is buried in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield, IL. I looked him up on the records and he was 10 months old, died March 9, 1882 (not May as originally listed so I fixed that). He is buried in Block 2 which has only a handful of stones left and I have photographed and added all of them, which would mean he has no stone. There are hundreds of graves in that particular Block that are unmarked. Let me know if this is the Charles you were thinking it was.

Hello. We were lucky on this one. Thanks to a map and cemetery book, we found the exact spot only to find no marker. However, a probe of the ground discovered a grave marker covered with soil. We dug it out and clean it. A good picture is the result !!
