Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been a high school US History teacher for the past 34 years, researcher, and collector of historical items, mainly military items. I love to take these items to show my students and others that history is something you can touch. I recently returned from a year in Afghanistan with the Indiana National Guard. I volunteered after being out of the military for over 25+ years. Talk about seeing history - I saw it!

For the past 31 years my students and myself have been looking for the families and friends of the 1621 Indiana casualties of the Vietnam War. We conducted all the research for the World War II,Korean and Vietnam Memorials in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. We are presently raising money to build a Veterans Museum in Schererville, Indiana. If you can help please email me.

Check out these two links - Outstanding students.

re: John W. Abbott
Hello Tom,
I grew up knowing John Abbott. Our mothers were very close friends. I just saw the photo you posted of John on 8/31/2015. That photo was taken in the courtyard of my parents' apartment the last time we saw John, which was either late 1968 or early 1969. He came to visit us before going to Hawaii for R&R to see his wife and meet his new baby daughter for the first time.
I'm very curious where you got the photo. It was taken by either my mom or me.
Did you also know John? It would be nice to be in touch with someone else who knew him.

Royal G Madison ll
I've been looking for Royal Madison for years and just happened to get his real first name today. I checked findagrave and it took me to his pictures that you posted for him. Do you have any contact info for his family. I have more pictures of him I'd like to pass on to them.

Robert Baugh

Robert Baugh was my mother's younger brother. He was killed in North Africa the day I was 6 months old, 1-14-43. I heard a lot about him from family and friends of his while my parents lived out their lives in Youngstown, OH. I a photo book that traces the Army Air Corp unit he was in from the time it was formed through the various campaigns it participated in during WW II. The book is dedicated to him as it's first commanding officer.
I vaguely remember when his body was brought back from North Africa and reburied in Youngstown. That could have been 1947.

I am amazed that you found a picture with a personal note to my grandparents written by my uncle Harry.

Charles Sedam
I recently came upon this memorial while looking for info regarding Charles Sedam's air corps service. Can you tell me where you found the photo showing him standing near the brick wall in what looks like his air corps uniform? Do you have any info that you can share with me about his service? I'm involved in assembling a data base of names of men who served with the 7th Bomb Group in India-Burma during WW2 and would appreciate any assistance you can offer.

Thank you.

Memorials and History
Mr. Clark, The work that you and your students have done through the years is impressive. A legacy will remain for the Veterans that lost their lives in war. Thank you for all that you do and teaching your students about honor and service to our country.
