 | RE: George Albert Thomas Hi,
I am not related to George. His first wife was my great-grandmother's sister. I wanted the family of siblings to be as complete as possible, so I did a lot of research on George's second wife as well. :)

 | Links you are welcome, I hope it further helps in your search for connecting your family members. I am in the process of getting everyone on this site at Sulphur Lick Cemetery and I finally got to the "H" Just can't enter them without knowing who they are and SO, I have been doing quite abit of linking whenever poss. and searching for other families to connect them. When I get it all entered then I will go back to the cemetery and take new pics. But if anyone has some that they want to put on, I hope they do, :) | | | Schatzie Moore
 | Porter What an awesome story about Lincoln county Porters. All the names mentioned I have in my ancestry tree Mooe/moxley/Eveland and the whole darn forrest... Any how still in contact with Porters (Sally and Gerald) Right along with Perkins, Cox, Colbert, Mabry, Uptegrove and I could go on! I will have to go to Palmer Library in Elsberry Missouri and look up that story, I don't think our local Lincoln County Genealogical Society is aware of it. Have family in Sitton Cem, oh heck, every cemetery in Lincoln county. Have ALOT of pics and slowly adding them on here. If I can be of any help, let me know :) Schatzie in HawkPoint Mo | | | Phyllis Mitchell Sway
 | RE: James J. Porter 1807-1888
Hi again Dan,
I found Mary E. Hopkins in Ancestry as David's first wife. It says she died in 1806, but that can't be if James was born in 1807. Anyway, David married Nancy Culton in September 1807, so he didn't waste much time!
Thanks for the info. Are you a descendant of the Porters?

 | RE: James J. Porter 1807-1888 Hi Dan, So did David Porter have another wife before Nancy? If so, I wasn't aware of her. I just know that Nancy was David's widow. I just went to the Blue River Cemetery last week, and saw where his Memorial is on the reverse side of her stone.
I double checked on Ancestry, and don't see James on either one of their family trees. But it does look like David was his father.
Thanks, and let me know!

 | Thomas Harvey, South Dakota I assume by the last name that you are related to Thomas. I was wondering how close? James Samuel Harvey is my 3rd Great Grandpa. I have been trying to get in contact with living family. Hoping someone has photos? I have one photo of James. Can you help? | | | DC
