|Lost in one of those winding road cemeteries, searching to visit my parents gravesite, I stopped to reconnoiter and found myself next to a headstone with my mother's maiden name. It's an unusual name so I figured they must be related in some way. The search to find the connection was great fun. Turned out to be my great grandparents. Learning more about them has turned into a quite a hobby. My special family interests are O'Briens of Monmouth County, NJ, and the Purple family. That's right, Purple. Also looking for Buckleys, Behans, Cliffords and Smiths of Brooklyn. Thank heaven for the Italian Genealogical Group. |

You're very welcome. My husband's grandma is buried next to him. I found his picture while doing family research.

I'm sorry I never got back to you until now. I'm just getting to "put aside" e-mails as at the time I heard from you and the photo of Daisy's gravestone my dad was very ill and passed away on 12/27/09. I would be interested in any other info you have. Daisy and her husband Fred are grand uncle and aunt but I still like to have info for my family tree maker.

Thanks for the clarification on the spelling. You are right that it was initially transcribed as Kinyon, which is why I was surprised that it looked like Kenyon.

Thanks so much for the photo of John Kenyon's headstone. I am surprised to see the spelling of his name as "Kenyon" on his tombstone, as I thought it would be "Kinyon."
