|I live in the Tallahassee Florida area. I descend from Benoni Pearson of Worth County Ga.on my paternal side. On my maternal side I descend from John Lawrence Wilkinson (American Revolutionist) and Thomas Andrews b. 1795 Burke County Ga. died in Holmes County Florida. 2nd Great Granddaddy Thomas Andrews was pioneer to Holmes County Ga. This makes me a 5th generation Floridian. All my memorials are my direct ancestors. If you are more closely related than I, I will transfer to you, upon request.|

Any edits I have sent are from the book "The History of Worth County, GA." vol II. Thanks, gail
Shawn, I think the process of adding shaving cream to enhance the writing on old tombstones is a fabulous idea. Thanks.

Will do...have not found anything yet. ploughing through the history book, though.

Can you link Mr. John D Houston to his wife? I noticed there is a photo posted, but no one has linked his wife. I found in the Worth Co, History book where he attended a reunion of CSA veterans which was reported on May 20, 1910.

I would like to ask for a favor. Could you please replace the photo of the grave for Millard White? At the time they were preparing for a funeral near this grave. It shows up in the photo and some family members don't like it.
I have sent a request for a new photo. I hope you understand why.
Have good weekend.

Some years ago, a list of burials for the Blackshear cemetery was provided to the library by a patron. There are only a few gravestones at the Blackshear cemetery and, as far as I know, there isn't one for John Franck Shine. It could be that the person who submitted the information was mistaken and that John isn't buried in the Blackshear cemetery. Did you find anything listed in the newspaper?

Where is Andrews Homestead Cemetery located? Just found Broxton Cemetery, and listed its visible headstones and others from a burial list; a small cemetery. Seems like Andrews Homestead Cemetery will be small one also. Michael
