I enjoy the detective work of genealogy. There is such joy in finding that missing unanswered questions about the past.

I've begun photographing stones, and if I add one, feel free to use it.

I see that Phil & Donna Whitaker posted to Find A Grave before your loved ones funeral & I am sorry for that. They did the same thing to me last week. I think they are only interested in having high numbers of memorials that they have created, not anybody's feelings. I just wanted you to know that you are not alone in this. I wish you well!

Julia A. Perry
Try this again. Julia Ann was my Great-great Grandfather's older sister. She was born in Floyd County, Kentucky. Her Father was John W. Powell who joined Julia at her home in Arkansas in the 1890's. He was born in N.C. around 1816 but apparently never went back home to KY or NC. Would it be possible to looks for him out there with your resources? Thanks, Jim Powell

RE: Comment
There are many things in this world today that are offensive to one person or another which I find irritating. Certainly there are better things to do with ones time. I mean no harm by entering what I find on the obituary or the funeral home record. If that information is incorrect it is not my mistake. Most families have no clue about Find a Grave therefore 95% of my entries would never be done if it was left to other people. I will most likely continue my daily work but thanks for the comment.

RE: John Van Dessel
I have the same e-mail address. Maybe contact me through the edit tab on John Van Dessel's memorial and it will go through.

Ellen Maie Snyder McBride
My husband was adopted, but by the time he found out all records were destroyed. His biological mother's name is Ellen Maie Snyder. She is from Keevil Arkansas. I am wondering if the cgave at Banner Cemetary in Cleveland County, OK is hers. Do you have any information on the family of this person that I can contact? Janet Mills - 870-209-1654;
