I'm very interested in genealogy and keeping up with the family. I do have other interests such as reading, exercising and attending church. However, much of my time is spent on working on the family tree. Some of my families name include: Rice, Smith, Spencer, Cash,Griggs, Barham, Mancell, Cherry, Johnston, Harbison, Reeves, Davis, Fields, England, Holley, Howard, Martin, Franks, Wait, Teeter, Bond, Parks and Miller. I am a professional storyteller and I wish I had collected stories from those who have gone on. Family and family history is so important because it is lost to many people today.|

|Shirley Stewart Milford||RE: Names Misspelled|
Shortly after I started genealogy searching, a more experienced person told me 'just remember, many of these people did not go to school so if you are searching for a name, just think of how many ways it _could_ be spelled and also think phonically. That really helped me a lot. Just last week I finally found a Cecilia - I had searched for her for months and tried all different spellings...until someone told me her death certificate was spelled Sealy. haha

Thanks, Sue. I did notice on his wife Jennie's memorial that it said Alfred, but didn't want to change his name unless 99% sure. : )
About the Mt Zion Cemetery in Chester County...
Actually there is no Mt Zion in Chester County. It is in McNairy County on Hardin Graveyard Road just below the county line dividing the two counties. Many people think because it is so close to Enville that it is in Chester County but it is not. Someone had made a duplicate cemetery listed in Chester County on Find A Grave... and there were so many duplicate memorials. Find A Grave just recently merged the two cemeteries and hopefully all the duplicates will soon be straightened out...
What is even more confusing - there are 4 Mt Zion Cemeteries in McNairy County!! and they were not named correctly or located very well on Find A Grave. BUT I think Find A Grave has corrected that too. : )

Are you related to Robert Cherry and do you have proof of family relationships that you could share? It would be helpful for a DAR application for a friend.

Please disregard my request. Catherine was not the daughter of the couple I requested that you tie her too after all.

I am connected to these families as well,and was informed by another Bishop that several Bishops are buried there as well. The Bishop family has strong ties to Milledgeville,Tennessee. I hope someday we can identify those buried with rocks or without stones will also be identified . Thanks for your hard work. I have visited that cemetery on Jan. 02,2011. I have made several stops including Sweetlips not too far from there. Sincerely Thomas R. Cone

|Shirley Stewart Milford||Mrs Willie Pusser grave marker photo|
Sue, thank you for taking the photo of Mrs Willie Pusser's grave marker! Your photo helped me realize I C Pusser and Mrs Willie Pusser were the same person. So there won't be a duplicate, I am going to delete the memorial for Mrs Willie Pusser. Would you please transfer your picture to Ida Corrine "I.C." Pusser's #19736929 memorial page?...Thank You, Shirley Milford
for the transfer of management of the Mary Julie Yerbey memorial page. George Davis
