Hi Lynne -
You're welcome. She shares the marker with her husband Samuel - I'll create a memorial for him and post those photos.
|Don Watkins||Johnston @ Forest Lawn, Omaha|
Besides George & Thomas, you might be interested in Pallas Johnston and Charles F. Kugel as they are buried on Lot 83 and the markers look alike.
|Leilani Oliver Chung||RE: Ransom Arrant, Mary Jessup|
You may use the photographs for your DAR application. I put pictures up to help others connect with their family far away and to help them validate their birth and death dates. I appreciate you asking for permission.
|Mary Lou Hooper||Sarah Letson|
I was searching Griffin Mills cemetery this afternoon and located the following Letsons:
Isaiah Letson 1796-1880
wife Sophia Letson 1799-1872
died 11/24/1872 73 years 7 month 22 days
in another section:
Lilly B 3/26/1871 - 5/15/1875
Edwin B 1867-1870
3rd stone illegible.
in yet another section:
Roland Letson (illegible) June 13 1887
|Donna Casey||Sarah Letson - Griffins Mills Cem.|
I believe that the older section of this cemetery has been completely photographed. Most likely there was no headstone for Sarah. I would suggest contacting the contributor of her memorial as he may have had some record of her burial in this cemetery.

Yes, it's OK to use the cemetery sign photo. I took the photo when I was in the cemetery to photograph the grave of Floyd Patterson, who might be the only celebrity buried in New Paltz Rural Cemetery.
|ATJ||The Goodliff(e) family|
I've been researching the talented English stone cutter William Goodliff who was active in Sullivan Co NY, around 1865-1879. The family moved to Virginia around 1880, where his sons William H & Harry would carry on the business after his death in 1882.
Thought you might enjoy this summarywith photos of his work:
I've also put together a virtual cemetery listing of his work as I find it ... not all the photos are mine but many show his signature "Goodliff" or "Goodliff Barryville" in the lower right hand corner.

You're very welcome for the photos, Lynne. Glad I could help out !
|J Lowery||cemetery sign photograph|
Look under the photo. I didn't post it. I just posted the memorial. Cemetery book I used said born Feb 27 not 29, 1849. Wish I could give you a reference to the cemetery book. But I passed them on and some went to library and then library sold some of them.

|Tangent||RE: John Stroud|
Photographs for John, Susanah, and Fannie are up.
Given that his date of birth is incorrect on the headstone - 1849 was not a leap year (!) I don't know which middle initial is correct.
Find A Grave policy is to put on the memorial what is on the headstone unless someone has documentation otherwise. You've got documentation :)
How about I send S.A.C.s for the two ladies (at least one has a misspelled name) and you send the one for the gentleman?
Send a SAC to *any* of the memorials I manage with your email address, and I'll send you photographs. That will result in better quality than saving from the memorials.
Best regards. I've found the D.A.R. chapter in the town I'm in the throes of moving to.
