|Robert Morris||RE: Flora Mann|
Hello I have Flora date of birth as 1857 Michigan I am not sure how she was related to Stephen & Elizabeth Mann but since was not in 1860 census could not be biologically their daughter unless Stephen was married prior to Elizabeth. Other possibility is she was a niece of Stephen or they adopted her. She is a mystery. Thanks Rob
|Robert Morris||Flora Mann|
Hello I emailed you quite some time ago about my 3rd great grandmother Flora Mann and her connection to Stephen & Elizabeth (Gorball) Mann.
In 1870 Butler, Branch Co, MI census lists 13 year old Flora Mann living with Stephen & Elizabeth but their only daughter listed died in infancy so Flora must not of been their biological daughter but possibly a adoptive daughter or guardianship of a relative just do not know.
I did find old plat map for Butler where my 3rd great grandfathers house was and farm land is listed and discovered just across the street and up the road lived then widowed Elizabeth Gorball Mann with my 3rd great grandfathers farm land behind her house.
So Flora may of met my ggg grandfather since they lived near each other just need to find how Flora was related to Stephen and Elizabeth Mann.
|Robert Morris||Elizabeth (Gorball) Mann Obit ?|
I noticed her obit mentions one daughter who died in infancy but no mention of any other children.
1870 Branch County, Michigan census lists a 13 year old Flora Mann as daughter of Stephen and Elizabeth Mann so was just curious if you know anything about her.
I believe Flora Mann was my 3rd great grandmother so just attemting to confirm who Flora's parents were.
