I have been interested in my family roots for the last 40 years or so and was lucky enough to start questioning my grandparents before they had started to forget some of the details. Because I got married, worked, raised a family, etc. etc. I did not get a real good system going till I retired. Now, I think of nothing else. The internet has made life a lot easier and a lot of information available. However, don't make it too easy. Do not take someone else's research; use it only as a guide. There are too many errors out there.|
I am mainly working on my line, my husband's line, and my son-in-law's line. So far, most of the ties are in Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, with one in England. Seems like most of our ancestors were in America before the Revolutionary War. I am researching names like ALSPACH,BAKER,BROWN,BUTLER,CRIDER,CRIST,EMRICK,FEIGHNER,FOGWELL,NICODEMUS,REAM (and that's just my line). - Keep searching and we'll all be one family -

I am trying to get in touch with any living children of Helen (Wentland) Barr-Rine who was first married to Donald Wesley Barr in 1936 in mansfield. I saw that you left flowers on his memorial page. Do you know this family?
Are his daughters Donna Jeanne, Mealanie and Cindy (deceased) children from Helen or from his 2nd marriage?
I recently purchased an old photo album at an antique store and it has pictures of Helen Wentland as a child and her family. Please contact me if you can help.
|William Ream||RE: Alvin Isaac Ream|
Thank you for that information on how you tie into the REAM family. A quick search of www.rootsweb.com for the Ream family of Perry County, Ohio shows that there were some who were descendants of Thobias Riehm (Ream)-- the son of Johann Eberhart Ream.
Due to the fact that Abraham "The Tavern Keeper" Riehm (another son of Johann Eberhart Riehm) did not leave a will, I cannot be positive, but believe that I may be descended from him. Someday I may ask for one of those DNA tests that would show that I am The Tavern Keepers 6th great-grandson.
Thank you for your help with the Huntington County, IN Ream family that originated in Stark County, OH.

Thank you for updating the memorial of Alvin Isaac Ream.
Would you be related to him? If so, how?

Raymond was my grandfather. My father was only 13 when he father passed away. My grandmother is 92 and still living. In fact, she was just put on her first med last year and is completely there mentally. My family: mom, dad, sister and I, all have plots in the cemetery as well.
I am also in the process of putting together a book on the Feighner Cemetery that will have a short bio on each individual, their spouses, their children and photos of stones or the individual themselves. As right now, I am missing the linkage of just 3 individuals. I have put a lot of time into this book, as well as a website and facebook page. It was because of this and the fact that we own the cemetery and maintain it, that I was hoping to be the contributor to Feighner.
What is your relationship through Daniel?
|stacey branstator||duplicate accounts|
I've noticed a duplication in my families cemetery and was hoping you could remove the two you created? I messaged the other contributor and she said that you should remove yours, since she posted first. I am also hoping that you, and the other contributors, would consider transferring the "ownership" of this cemetery. My father, Michael Branstator (son of Raymond Branstator) has been the caretaker since 1974 and are putting together a book for the Huntington County library. We have gathered lots of information that I would like to be able to add to each individual.
