Hobbies besides genealogy research: singing, playing guitar and gardening. Married to Mike Dillon for 21 years and raising two beautiful children. |
Had an exciting experience through findagrave wherein I was able to find what out what became of my great aunt, Anna McCoy. Hope to connect with others in my lines and maybe some of my contributions can help others too.
Thank you to all photo volunteers.

Is this a calculated date of birth or do you have a source for this date? I have been unable to find a date of birth for her in the databases that I have access to.
Thank you for your help.

Some of my wife's family is buried in this cemetery with John W Dillon.

I changed the name. but be happy to transfer to
you if this is your relative.
I have been to culp cemetery a few times and it is
terribly overgrown and not cared for at all.
I can remember going to that cemetery as a teenager many years ago and it was taken care of...but over the years, it is in horrendous shape...
wish I lived closer, but I live in Little Rock so
can't make it up to Missouri on any regular basis.
My great grandparents are buried there and whenever I do go, I always take as many pics as I see stones for...but as I said many stones are broken and old too badly worn to read.
not sure what your reference is to the LDS site, this website Find A Grave has numbers only.

|Merilee Speilberg Sommers||Florence May Harris Fugitt|
You posted a very nice report on Find A Grave, Memorial # 45490085.
Her name was Florence May (not Mary) Harris Fugitt. I have that documented. See the Mohr Family Tree in Ancestry.com.
Are you able to modify the article that you transcribed?
Paragraph 2: It was ‘Wilbur Clarington Fugitt’ who died in an auto accident at age 22, just before his twins were born.
Oliver was alive at the time of Florence’ death and lived in Portland, Oregon, where William Clarington Fugitt and Florence May Harris Fugitt lived for a number of years.
Also in paragraph 2, William Benjamin ‘Benny’ Fugitt died at 9 months old.
There is one misspelling of Fugitt in paragraph 2.
Mt. Zion was renamed Utterback Cemetery, as you show in your picture.
The grandchildren that survived after her death were: Doris Elaine Fugitt Speilberg, Patricia Johann Fugitt Antonsen, Virginia Lee Fugitt Hudman and Wilburta C Fugitt Britt.
Thank you for your work.

Thanks for the note on Jemima's line. I haven't been able to work on my files in a while. I bought the new version of FTM and now all my files are locked there as I cannot open the darn thing.
I sure hope I can get back to it soon.

I would be happy to add any information to a memorial for you. However, I really only have access to do this from my iPad at the moment. And I cannot cut and paste from the message screen in my my iPad. I can do this from my email though. Can you send me an edit with this information that will go directly to my email? Or if you'd rather, I can transfer his memorial to you if you are relative.

I would very much like to connect with you and the email address given was returned. I would like to honor your 4th great grandfather for his service in the War of 1812 by adding him to our national database of patriots buried in California.
